Job Description

Department Manager – Electric Construction Services

Orbital Engineering, Inc.

• Oversee the performance of multiple teams of Electric Construction Services employees • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and economically • Track progress of training of new and existing team members • Continuously evaluate team performance / capability • Ensure the enforcement of processes and policies • Direct and/or provide leadership to personnel • Facilitate collaboration between team members and all project stakeholders • Interface directly with clients and internal management staff • Lead recurring meetings with internal and Client teams • Manage department financials and develop regular reports

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 10-15 years of management level experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience managing multiple teams of employees
  • Ability to effectively communicate with current and new client representatives
  • Demonstrated ability to refine/adapt/develop and implement process improvements
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Extensive experience screening, interviewing, and hiring leadership level and lower personnel
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Superior computer software skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance
  • Extensive experience with Safe Work Practices and PPE applications
