Department Manager – Electric Construction Services
Orbital Engineering, Inc.
• Oversee the performance of multiple teams of Electric Construction Services employees • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and economically • Track progress of training of new and existing team members • Continuously evaluate team performance / capability • Ensure the enforcement of processes and policies • Direct and/or provide leadership to personnel • Facilitate collaboration between team members and all project stakeholders • Interface directly with clients and internal management staff • Lead recurring meetings with internal and Client teams • Manage department financials and develop regular reports
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred)
- 10-15 years of management level experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience managing multiple teams of employees
- Ability to effectively communicate with current and new client representatives
- Demonstrated ability to refine/adapt/develop and implement process improvements
- Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Extensive experience screening, interviewing, and hiring leadership level and lower personnel
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Superior computer software skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe
- Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance
- Extensive experience with Safe Work Practices and PPE applications
