Payroll Specialist

UKG

• Under the supervision of the Controller, manage the payroll process, compile payroll statistics, maintain payroll records. • Liaise with payroll systems providers and partners in Human Resources and perform audits and reviews of all required payroll deductions. • Manage the accurate and timely processing of all payroll information. • Perform complete and accurate processing of biweekly multi-state payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees. • Manage the functions of payroll operations including salaries, benefits, exceptions, court ordered deductions, and payroll taxes for all Agency services and programs. • Maintain employee confidence by responding to employee payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. • Provide payroll information for audits and internal control reviews for the Payroll processing cycle.

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience with multi-state payroll administration required.
  • Experience in accounting journal entry preparation.
  • Experience in annual audits, various payroll filings, new state registrations.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and solid knowledge of payroll and benefit principles.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong experience with Excel and HR systems.
