Senior Engineering Manager, Lodging
Hotel Engine
• Lead a high-performing engineering team by driving collaboration, growth, and accountability. • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence. • Drive efficiency through agile methodologies and engineering best practices, continuously refining workflows, tools, and processes. • Act as the bridge between engineering and other teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities. • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative solutions that enhance product development and business growth.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on driving performance and results.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical foundation with expertise in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails, plus experience working with AWS and Datadog.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- A strategic and results-driven approach to engineering and team leadership.
- Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
