Role Description Truth Initiative is searching for freelance content creators to join our mission to prevent youth and young adult nicotine addiction and empower quitting for all. We’re trying to change the way people quit and want you to join us. This is a paid contract opportunity. As an independent contractor (not an employee), you will work hand in hand with our social media team (and potentially other creators, if interested) to develop engaging, impactful content. We will have the occasional meeting, otherwise the time commitment is very flexible. Creators will work on their own time to produce content. We’re looking for true partners—we want creators to be true to their style and voice. We will orient you to our brand and our mission, as well as provide ideas, sources, and the history of Big Tobacco. But we want our creators to make videos they’re proud of. - Transforming creative briefs into video concepts - Writing scripts for your content - Appearing on camera to share stories or insights - Filming and editing videos - Completing necessary paperwork, especially for content that includes others Qualifications - You are an engaging, clear communicator and love to be on camera. - You’re interested in creating under the following formats: - Man On The Street Interviews - Direct to Camera Explainers - Comedic Skits - Lifestyle/Vlogging - You have a portfolio or examples of content you have created. - Not a dealbreaker, but if you have personal experience with nicotine use, we encourage you to apply. Whether you’ve already quit or are willing to try quitting with EX Program, your personal journey can be a powerful tool in helping others quit too. Requirements - We will need your written consent to run a background check before we enter a final agreement. However, those results will not automatically disqualify candidates. If chosen as a potential contractor, you will be provided with information on the types of background checks we conduct.
