This position is based in the greater Sioux Fall, SD area. This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. Qualifications: This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience: - High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. - Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience. - Posses and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver's license. - Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings. - Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle. - Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter. - Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances. You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following: - Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience. - Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics. - Electrical Technology Certificate. - Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques. - Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.
