Role Description The Application Engineer serves as a trusted technical resource, ensuring the accurate and effective use of Nook and Thomson products across a wide range of customer applications. In this role, you will engage directly with customers to understand their requirements and translate those needs into well‑reasoned, safe, and cost‑effective product recommendations that meet all performance specifications. This role acts as the technical bridge between our company’s products and the customers who use them. Through this work, you help customers bring their ideas to life and often see those solutions implemented in real‑world environments where they make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities - Provide accurate and timely product selection guidance based on customer requirements. - Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, including Product Design, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment and smooth execution. - Communicate professionally across multiple channels, including phone, email, video conferencing. - Deliver basic post‑sales support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical inquiries. - Leverage internal resources (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Shipping) to address and resolve customer needs. - Prepare and document pricing proposals for modified or customized product configurations. - Support field sales teams in managing accounts and driving product direction, profitability, growth, and achievement of sales objectives. - Contribute to the development of standard procedures and policies that promote lean office practices and performance metrics. The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. • Deliver complete mechanical designs including, tolerance stacks, coordinate CTE/Structural analysis, and assembly procedures • Develop CAD design and software workflows that convert parametric models from NX CAD geometry into formats that can be used by engineering teams and control systems within analysis algorithms • Develop software automation tools that enable users to interact with NX data from Python • Develop software tooling for integrating NX model parameters, coordinate systems, and geometry in existing scientific software tooling • Utilize software tools and the NXOpen API to enable coordinate transformations and quick access to a single source of truth • Have experience with ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards • Develop software tooling to ensure that CAD designs and documentation comply with industry and internal CAD standards • Be part of a matrix organization as a member of the CAD Team reporting to a CAD Team Leader/Manager • Work within a multi-disciplinary and proven team of top scientists and engineers to support our functional teams

The Sr. Field Applications Specialist (FAS) is responsible for the validation of new Chemistry and Immunoassay instrument installations to meet Beckman Coulter and customer requirements. They collaborate with customer Key Operators during validation to reinforce training and ensure readiness. The FAS addresses operational and performance questions in line with specifications and regulatory standards, and partners with Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams. This position reports to the Technical Applications Supervisor and is part of the Field Applications Team within the North America Service Organization. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA/ San Diego, CA area and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Prepare customer for and complete validations studies on instrumentation including, but not limited to instrument set-up, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons. - Provide both onsite and remote phone support to customers for assay and QC related questions and provide onsite training for proper operation of instrumentation. - Provides onsite training for proper operation of instrumentation.. The essential requirements of the job include: - Associate's degree with a minimum combined experience of 3+ years in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or other related field. - Advanced understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with heavy emphasis on Laboratory Regulatory environment. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - This position requires up to 95% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.. - Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. - Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms. • Assist customers with connection of EVSEs to Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) systems and suggest systems for effective use of OCPP systems. • Monitor and analyze real-world data from deployed chargers to identify performance issues, especially in the early stages of customer deployments. • Track data trends and make recommendations to improve system reliability, efficiency, and overall user experience. • Provide technical assistance during the sales process, using online tools and applications. • Support customers during pre- and post-sales activities, including product delivery, installation, commissioning, validating success with unique use cases, and project handover • Develop strong customer relationships to support driving increased sales volume • Conduct training sessions with customers on the setup and use of EV charging systems. • Provide feedback to product managers to make sure product requirements and product roadmaps capture lessons learned from previous experiences and ongoing testing experiences. • Travel to customer sites to provide on-the-ground support for charger installations and troubleshooting efforts. • Engage with the engineering team through occasional travel to the Cleveland facility to assist with customer testing and other technical activities. • Collaborate with the product and test engineering team to solve complex problems. • Participate in industry events and use these opportunities to build and foster strong relationships with prospective customers and development partners. • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
