Role Description Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Component Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. This position may also be performed remotely within the U.S. As part of the Product Assurance group, we are responsible for the selection and qualification of all Electrical, Electronic, Electromagnetic (EEE) parts and materials for Lanteris' LEO, GEO and special purpose Spacecrafts. This role is specifically oriented toward engineering of semiconductor type electronic devices associated with their development, procurement, and testing. In this role, you will be a member of the Parts, Materials and Processes team, responsible for: - Investigation, qualification, and approval of different types of electronic parts mostly related to semiconductors. - Investigating and resolving issues that may arise during the use of already approved parts. - Traveling to various places around the world to complete tasks related to part approval or issue investigation. - Working well with others, communicating effectively, and fully documenting issues and resolutions. Qualifications - Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline/STEM field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree. - 8 years work experience with semiconductor device development, test, and manufacturing. - Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn how to use custom database programs. Requirements - Team player – ability to work across multiple functional organizations to develop and implement solutions. - Hands-on person – capable of understanding the issues and performance of semiconductor devices and using sound engineering practices to find appropriate solutions to issues. - Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills, including customer communication and technical writing. - Ability to work methodically to identify issues and develop solutions. - Knowledge of NASA-STD-873910 is a plus.
