Location: Remote (US) Reports to: President, Fluke Health Solutions Role Overview The Vice President, General Counsel is a senior executive responsible for leading Fluke Health Solutions’ global legal, compliance, regulatory, and security oversight functions. This role serves as a strategic advisor to the President and leadership team, ensuring strong governance, disciplined risk management, and protection of the company’s data, systems, products, and reputation. While this role is not the Chief Information Security Officer, the CISO and security function report into Legal, with the VP, General Counsel holding ultimate accountability for cybersecurity governance, risk posture, and alignment with business strategy. This leader is expected to operate as a business‑first legal partner—balancing risk with speed, enabling growth, and raising the bar on accountability, rigor, and execution across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Legal, Compliance & Governance - Serve as chief legal advisor to the President and leadership team on all legal, regulatory, and governance matters. - Lead global legal strategy across commercial, product, regulatory, employment, litigation, IP, privacy, and data protection. - Oversee corporate governance, executive and board support, and enterprise policy frameworks. - Ensure strong compliance programs across regulated environments, including healthcare, quality systems, trade compliance, and global regulatory requirements. - Partner closely with HR, Finance, Product, and Commercial leaders on complex employee relations, investigations, transactions, and risk matters. Security & Cybersecurity Oversight - Provide executive oversight and governance for the company’s information security and cybersecurity programs. - Lead and support the CISO, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and alignment to business risk. - Own cybersecurity governance, policies, standards, and escalation frameworks. - Ensure effective cyber risk management, incident response readiness, and regulatory compliance. - Act as executive sponsor for security considerations tied to major technology initiatives (e.g., ERP, cloud, AI, digital platforms). - Serve as the senior legal and governance interface for cybersecurity matters with auditors, regulators, customers, and Fortive. Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness - Build, lead, and develop high‑performing Legal, Compliance, and Security organizations with clear accountability and succession. - Set expectations, drive performance, and ensure consistent application of standards across the function. - Establish strong operating rhythms, metrics, and prioritization to ensure focus on the most critical risks and opportunities. - Model courageous leadership—raising issues early, challenging constructively, and holding teams accountable for results. Business Partnership & Strategy - Enable business growth by providing pragmatic, timely, and commercially sound guidance. - Balance risk mitigation with speed and innovation, ensuring Legal and Security functions operate as enablers—not blockers. - Anticipate emerging legal, regulatory, and cyber risks and proactively position the organization to respond. - Represent FHS as a credible, confident executive leader internally and externally. Qualifications & Experience - Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership. - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in legal, compliance, and risk‑heavy environments. - Demonstrated experience overseeing or partnering closely with enterprise cybersecurity or information security leaders. - Strong business acumen with experience advising senior executives. - Proven ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change. - Experience in regulated, global, or matrixed environments preferred.
