Role Description Geotab is seeking a Sales Development Representative who will develop sales activity within their assigned segments/channels by presenting solutions to existing and prospective clients through outbound prospecting. They will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking at trade shows. What you'll do - Generate new business opportunities and qualify prospects based on BANT criteria. - Schedule qualified appointments for Business Development Managers (BDMs). - Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of Geotab’s offerings to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). - Work closely with Partner Account Managers (PAMs), BDMs, and Sales Managers to manage the pipeline and gather essential customer intelligence. - Contribute to outbound prospecting strategies and execute them to drive revenue growth. - Strive to meet and exceed personal and team goals in net subscriptions. - Initiate contact with prospective customers through various channels. - Qualify prospects based on predefined BANT criteria. - Accurately assess prospect requirements and articulate relevant Geotab solutions. - Serve as Brand Ambassador, ensuring a positive representation of Geotab. - Collaborate with PAMs and BDMs to gather essential partner/customer information. - Maintain accurate records of all interactions and lead status in Geotab’s CRM (Salesforce). - Collect valuable market & customer intelligence regarding customer needs/challenges. - Participate in sales and channel development strategies. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Geotab products and industry trends. - Provide regular reports on outreach activities and key metrics. - Assist in the creation of outbound messaging for effective communication with prospects. - Attend and support industry trade shows. - Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.
