This role contributes to day-to-day operational activities, including infrastructure deployment, monitoring, patching, and incident triage, while building hands-on experience in a production cloud environment. Applicants must reside in the United States. US Citizenship required. Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Has hands-on exposure to Infrastructure as Code toolsets used to deploy cloud infrastructure - Works with low-complexity infrastructure code, including writing or enhancing existing definitions - Seeks guidance from more senior engineers for non-routine work - All changes are reviewed prior to implementation Configuration - Works with service management and configuration tools to support server configuration - Has exposure to low-complexity configuration code and established configuration patterns - Non-routine configuration changes require guidance and review from senior team members Task Automation - Applies foundational scripting knowledge using tools such as REST APIs, Azure Automation Runbooks, Azure Function Apps, and DevOps pipelines - Supports low-complexity automation tasks - All automation work is reviewed before implementation Networking - Applies foundational knowledge of general and cloud networking concepts to support a secure hosting environment - Implements networking changes that have been reviewed and approved Monitoring & Alerting - Works with Azure Monitor and related alerting capabilities, including alert rules, action groups, and log analytics - Supports monitoring configuration changes under guidance Patch Management - Participates in patch management activities and routine maintenance efforts - Troubleshoots common patching issues and escalates complex cases as needed PKI Knowledge - Has limited exposure to PKI concepts and the Cloud Engineering role in supporting PKI operations - Performs routine PKI tasks using documented procedures - All PKI-related work is reviewed prior to implementation Product Knowledge - Has exposure to Keyfactor’s hosted products and core functionality - Deploys and configures products to a baseline level using documented instructions - Performs low-complexity troubleshooting with review before changes are applied Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills - High School Diploma or equivalent experience - Up to 2 years of related work experience and general knowledge within their functional area - Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including native services and tooling - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools - PowerShell scripting (medium complexity) - Hands-on experience with Windows systems administration, including Windows Roles & Features and Active Directory - Problem-solving skills (low to moderate complexity), with the ability to troubleshoot low to moderately complex issues - Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor - Organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills - Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment - Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner - Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. #LI-NA1 Compensation Salary will be commensurate with experience.
