Job Description

Senior HVAC Application Engineer

Aeroseal

• Provide application engineering support for Aeroseal services, including HVAC system evaluation, project feasibility analysis, and technical guidance. • Develop and review energy models, savings estimates, and technical calculations to support project proposals and performance expectations. • Support measurement and verification (M&V) planning, documentation, and post-project analysis as needed. • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and building data to identify opportunities, risks, and design considerations. • Collaborate with sales teams to support customer discussions, technical proposals, and solution development. • Work with operations and field teams to support proper project execution. • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and customer-facing materials related to energy impact. • Stay current with HVAC technologies, energy efficiency practices, and industry standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in HVAC engineering, application engineering, energy engineering, or building performance roles.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, airflow, duct design, controls, and building operations.
  • Experience developing or reviewing energy models and performing energy savings calculations.
  • Familiarity with measurement and verification (M&V) concepts and performance-based projects.
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards; familiarity with SMACNA and utility/ESCO project requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, field operations, and customers.
