• Lead application security initiatives across all SaaS products and microservices. • Define and champion strategic security initiatives across the company. • Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure code assessments for both backend and frontend systems. • Implement and manage security automation in CI/CD, integrating SAST, DAST, SCA, and container image scanning tools. • Collaborate with engineering teams to triage, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across applications and containerized workloads. • Drive AppSec awareness and training, developing secure coding practices and guidelines. • Evaluate and deploy container security controls, ensuring images and orchestrators (Kubernetes, ECS, etc.) follow best practices. • Support bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs and coordinate penetration testing. • Stay ahead of emerging application and container threats, and recommend preventive controls aligned with OWASP and CIS benchmarks.

• Perform architecture and security reviews on highly complex products to identify vulnerabilities. • Work with development teams to integrate software security design patterns throughout the application lifecycle. • Ensure critical application design and implementation decisions are based on sound security patterns. • Facilitate analytics process for application abuse detection. • Support application protection efforts, incident response and fraud. • Find security threats and vulnerabilities in applications and recommend mitigation strategies. • Participate in evaluation, deployment and operations of innovative security solutions. • Conduct static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST), code reviews, security assessments and evaluations. • Implement and manage security tools, including SAST, DAST, Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and other security scanning solutions. • Drive the implementation of authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms for APIs and platforms. • Partner with application development, engineering and operations teams to ensure a security-first approach in CI/CD pipelines. • Work closely with the offensive security team to help identify, uncover and validate weakness and exposures in critical applications. • Support incident response efforts and mitigations related to application security vulnerabilities and weaknesses. • Provide security awareness training and guidance to development teams on secure coding practices. • Lead implementation of strategic security initiatives that improve application security across the organization. • Ensure application security practices align with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, NIST, and OWASP guidelines.

• Provide pre-sales technical leadership for Ciena's Interconnects portfolio across hyperscalers, OEMs, and AI/compute system partners. • Lead lab bring-up, debug, interoperability validation, configuration, and performance testing. • Translate customer system architectures and requirements into technical solutions and roadmap inputs. • Support quoting decisions, technical documentation, product collateral, compliance materials, and solution configuration. • Partner with BD and account teams to guide complex design-win cycles from evaluation to production. • Serve as primary technical interface for proof-of-concepts (POCs), interoperability events, compliance, and early deployments. • Deliver technical workshops, product demos, architecture sessions, and executive-level technical briefings. • Provide competitive intelligence, ecosystem developments, and silicon/optics trends to influence PLM and roadmap alignment. • Support post-sales issue triage with R&D, sustaining engineering, and quality teams — ensuring customer success during scale-up. • Advocate for customer requirements while balancing PLM strategy, roadmap alignment, and commercial constraints.
