Creative - Copy Lead

Native Pet

Role Overview Native Pet is seeking a senior Copy Lead to own and evolve our brand voice, campaign storytelling, and product messaging across every consumer touchpoint. This is a strategic, concept-driven role for a writer who leads big ideas and narrative systems, not just executional output. Our creative organization uses carefully trained GPT workflows to accelerate copy production for select high-volume channels such as CRM and growth testing. The Copy Lead plays a critical role in shaping, training, and governing these systems ensuring speed never comes at the expense of clarity, performance, or brand integrity. This role focuses human creative energy where it matters most: campaign concepts, product storytelling, launch narratives, retail moments, and brand platforms–while building frameworks that allow AI-assisted copy workflows to scale responsibly. This is a remote/work from home position. What You’ll Own: Brand Voice & Messaging Leadership - Own and evolve Native Pet’s brand voice and tone across channels - Build messaging architecture and narrative frameworks across funnel stages - Develop clear copy standards and brand voice guidelines - Ensure consistency across packaging, PDP, paid, CRM, retail, and PR - Act as senior copy voice across creative and marketing org and be able to present and defend messaging rationale to leadership Campaign & Concept Development - Lead copy for integrated campaigns and brand platforms - Partner with Creative and Marketing to develop campaign territories and big ideas - Write campaign headlines, scripts, and narrative systems - Translate brand strategy into emotionally resonant storytelling Product & Commercial Storytelling - Lead product positioning and launch messaging - Build benefit frameworks and claims language in partnership with regulatory and product teams - Own high-impact product storytelling across PDP, Amazon, and retail - Turn technical nutrition and ingredient science into consumer-clear language AI-Accelerated Copy Systems Leadership - Help design and train GPT-based copy workflows for approved use cases - Build prompt frameworks and guardrails for GPT copy generation - Oversee quality control and brand alignment of AI-assisted outputs - Enable speed and scale in: - CRM flows - Lifecycle messaging - Growth testing variants - Performance ad iterations High-Impact Brand Moments - Own copy for PR boxes, retail launches, and trade show storytelling - Lead messaging for brand activations and premium moments - Partner with packaging and design teams - Develop retail and shelf storytelling systems Who You Are - 8+ years in senior brand or campaign copy roles - Strong concepting and narrative platform experience - Proven campaign and integrated storytelling work - Experience building or governing brand voice systems - Comfortable working with AI-assisted creative workflows
