Job Description
Implementation Engineer
EverTrue
• Interact with customers and partners to support the EverTrue platform and to gain insight and understanding into customer needs and solutions and map them to EverTrue capabilities via industry best practices. • Support customer facing teams with customer technical queries and work to develop solutions and implement as needed. • Build, automate ETL, monitor, and debug workflows between various 3rd-party systems and customer CRMs to the EverTrue platform. • Partner with customer security teams to address their technical inquiries and assist with configuration of any security requirements and SSO integrations. • Establish and enforce systems designs and architectural standards through communication, documentation and metrics. • Provide guidance to improve the implementation process, documentation, and support protocols. • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to research responses to challenges and make recommendations to improve the overall product, 3rd party integrations, and the onboarding process.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building technical integrations between fundraising CRMs and SaaS platforms, including hands-on work with data modeling, ETL pipeline construction, and end-to-end validation of data flows with customers.
- Strong Python development skills, including building production-grade data processing pipelines using libraries such as Pandas, Polars, or similar — not just scripting, but writing maintainable, extensible code.
- Proficiency with MySQL and SQL generally, including writing queries, joins, and understanding transaction behavior; experience with stored procedures and views is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, Glue, Athena, Airflow, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation; comfort navigating the AWS ecosystem to deploy, monitor, and debug containerized workloads.
- Experience with Docker and container-based deployment; able to build, run, and troubleshoot containerized services in a cloud environment.
- Deep familiarity with REST API integration patterns, including OAuth 2.0 token lifecycle management, rate limit handling, exponential backoff, and debugging API interactions at the HTTP level with fluency in JSON.
- Experience with Blackbaud (RE NXT / SKY API), Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, or other common fundraising CRMs, with a working knowledge of their data models and API behaviors.
- Working knowledge of SFTP-based file exchange and ETL workflows; able to build and debug file-based and API-based data pipelines.
- Experience implementing SSO integrations; familiarity with LDAP and/or Cognito is a plus.
- Strong instincts for building resilient, observable systems — structured logging, error tracking, and alerting are part of how you think about production code, not afterthoughts.
- Outstanding communication skills; able to translate technical implementation details for non-technical stakeholders and document solutions clearly.
- A proactive problem solver who works well across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Knowledge of Major Gifts fundraising process and strategy a plus.
Benefits
- A base salary range of $90K - $100K.
- A 2.5% bonus plan based on company performance.
- We cover 80% of your premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- We offer a 401k match of up to 3% to support your financial future.
- A remote-first environment for flexible work.
- Generous paid time off throughout the year.
- Investment in your professional growth and development.
- Opportunities to connect with colleagues both in-person and virtually.
- The unique chance to contribute to the non-profits and educational institutions you care about, aligning your work with your passions.
