Director, Digital Programs
Datavant
• Oversee and manage a portfolio of digital clients & program managers, ensuring successful strategy development, forecasting, implementation, onboarding, and sustained product adoption. • Serve as an escalation point for complex delivery, client, and execution challenges, intervening directly when needed to drive resolution and outcomes. • Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, clearly articulating the value of Datavant’s digital products and aligning capabilities to client needs and strategic objectives. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Digital Program Managers responsible for end-to-end delivery across Datavant’s digital products. • Create clarity, discipline, and accountability across the team, setting clear expectations and driving consistent execution. • Actively support team velocity and performance by identifying resource needs, removing blockers, and championing innovation and continuous improvement. • Design, refine, and scale program management processes, playbooks, and tools to improve efficiency, quality, and predictability. • Leverage tools such as Asana, IDSB, Sigma, Snowflake, and related systems to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable data for teams and stakeholders. • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Client Success, BI, Sales and other Operations partners to align priorities, remove execution barriers, and ensure delivery success. • Provide structured, actionable feedback to Product teams based on client outcomes and frontline insights to inform roadmap decisions and future iterations. • Identify opportunities to better serve clients through new features, use cases, automation, and self-service capabilities. • Contribute materially to departmental KPIs and broader business objectives, including digital expansion, retention, adoption, and forecast accuracy. • Apply strong financial acumen to forecasting, performance tracking, and proactive intervention to mitigate risk to program outcomes. • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, personally leading high-impact initiatives and complex problem-solving efforts when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related healthcare experience required; clinical experience a plus.
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in client-facing, program management, or operational leadership roles; experience serving health plan customers strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in medical record retrieval, risk adjustment, quality programs, and related healthcare data workflows.
- Proven ability to design and execute strategic plans that drive measurable client and business outcomes.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with operational forecasting and driving forecast accuracy.
- Highly analytical, process-oriented thinker with a track record of driving reliable, scalable results.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing and developing remote teams of 3+ direct reports.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high EQ; ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to clearly articulate the value of digital products, align capabilities to client needs, and make data-driven strategic recommendations.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with strong follow-through and responsiveness.
- Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning across industry trends, product evolution, and client needs.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias toward action and sound judgment.
