SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES The ServiceNow Developer position is responsible for creating technical designs from business requirements that detail the build and execution of the solution within the platform. The ServiceNow Developer must leverage their ServiceNow functional expertise and work with the ServiceNow team, Project Management staff, and key business stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our internal and external customers aligning to Service Management best practices.   QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Employee must have in depth knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform including Architecture, Development, Configuration and Platform Security. Prior experience and/or understanding of Banking Processes and Workflow is a must. Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or related field required. Training, management, ServiceNow Certification strongly preferred. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop processes and applications on the ServiceNow platform that will provide operational benefit and efficiencies to further the strategies the Company. - Design and develop workflows, forms, scripts, and underlying logic using SCRUM / Agile methodologies. - Working with product owner (s), develop technical designs from business requirements that detail the build and execution of the solution within the platform. - Write functional requirements, develop test plans and address production issues. - Stay current on technologies that are required for platform support and development - Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of both new applications and application customizations. - Perform ServiceNow implementation tasks including but not limited to: configuration, integration, testing, requirements gathering and solution design. - Perform system testing on production changes to ensure accuracy of processing prior to implementing changes in production environment. - Design, Implement, Maintain performance measurement systems to monitor and analyze trends associated with ITSM processes and service performance to ensure overall compliance - Research. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and develop strategies for enhancing these processes in accordance with ITIL best practices and platform capabilities to enable continuous improvement. - Participate in, test, and support ServiceNow version upgrades - Create and update ServiceNow reports and dashboards - Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for stakeholders as appropriate. - Participate in regular Agile Scrum processes. - Maintain and update documentation of processes supported, to include procedures. - Adhere to existing processes/standards/policies as set forth by the Company or other departments as these apply. - Critically evaluate business unit requirements, Strategic vision of the platform to develop design and architecture concepts. - Administer and monitor the development and functionality of the ServiceNow Software. - Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management - Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs - Aid other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions - Continuously update skills by participating in professional training - Seek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the Bank - Serve as a back up to the other ServiceNow team members. - All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management   PROFESSIONAL - Support Sundown rule returning calls and emails before the end of the day, even if to let the inquirer know that you are working on the issue/request. - Establish effective relationships with Technology personnel, program and project managers, and other business partners. - Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines. Ensure quality and accuracy of data and information is a priority. - Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. - Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with trends/development and regulatory changes which may affect documentation or processes. - Possess and demonstrate effective communication skills/habits, both written and verbal - Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze and examine data in detail in order to draw appropriate conclusions. - Strong customer service orientation OTHER DUTIES Accepts other duties as assigned.  Works with the Line of Business on projects surrounding the ServiceNow Platform. Knowledge and comprehension of JavaScript & HTML. Proficient in web front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS - Functional front-end development with technologies such as ReactJs or Elm - Familiar with modern JavaScript development tools such as Webpack and Babel - Experience designing, developing, and maintaining processes via ITSM - Certified ServiceNow Application Developer required or obtained within 6 months. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES - Annual regulatory and Compliance training - Additional training may be required, as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and identify customers. - This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer.  - SouthState reserves the right to modify its Remote Work Standards and Eligibility requirements at any time. - SouthState reserves the right to suspend Remote Work privileges at any time.
