Position Overview Woolpert is hiring a Topobathymetric Lidar Technician to join our dynamic Topobathymetric Lidar Team. This position reports to the Topobathymetric Lidar Team Leaders and is responsible for performing lidar data editing, QC/QA reviews, and product creation tasks on topobathy lidar projects. Qualified candidates should be comfortable in Bentley Microstation, familiar with ESRI ArcGIS software, be excellent communicators, and work well in a collaborative team environment. Priority will be given to candidates who meet the minimum requirements with preferred skills and abilities. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. What You Will Do - Perform topobathy lidar data editing tasks for various projects and clients. - Execute geospatial processes, review and validate process outputs, and ensure all required steps are performed completely, correctly, and documented accordingly. - Track hours, monitor data quality, and report production status to team leaders. - Collaborate on project workload; shifting responsibilities as needed. What You Will Bring - Education/Experience: BA/BS degree relating to the Geospatial field and a minimum of two (2) year of professional Geospatial experience. - Additional professional experience may be substituted for BA/BS degree. - Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with topobathy lidar production workflows. - Working knowledge of TerraSolid/Scan, Bentley Microstation, ArcGIS Pro, Global Mapper, Bayes Strip Align, Leica HxMap/LSS, or LASTools highly desired. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships. - Strong organizational skills. - Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills. - Able to respond quickly to multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. - Able to interface effectively with vendors, clients, and other firm resources in a team environment. - Willing to travel up to 5%. - Professional Certifications: GISP preferred.
