What we need As a Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, administering third-party contracts and providing legal administrative support. You will bring a strong knowledge of contract law with experience in contract drafting and contract negotiation. You will have a general understanding of the basic principles of commercial law, intellectual property and software escrow matters are preferred but not required. This position will report to the Director, Global Contracts. What we do The Contracts team is part of the Legal Department which is responsible for ensuring that Symbotic's operations are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. What you’ll do - Review and/or negotiate agreements and contracts, such as non-disclosure, consulting, procurement and supply agreements and related SOWs - Work in close collaboration with global cross-functional teams throughout the contract cycle - Draft amendments and renewals to existing agreements - Assist with maintaining contracts database, including activities relating to workflow, processes and reporting - Identify, research and escalate legal and factual issues to other members of legal department - Function as a point of contact to resolve various business issues related to contract review processes and individual contract reviews - Monitor compliance to ensure timely and consistent follow-through on all agreed to contractual terms - Maintain compliance, certificates of insurance and escrow beneficiary documents - Review purchase requests for compliance with company procurement policies and procedures and assist company personnel with purchase request process - Assist with managing intellectual property matters with in-house and outside counsel, including tracking and coordinating domestic and foreign patent and trademark applications and intellectual property portfolio - Other responsibilities and projects assigned What you will need - Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program, or relevant experience - Minimum 3 years of corporate administrative experience, minimum 3 years legal contract experience - Experience with drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts - Knowledge of contract law principles and concepts - Demonstrated ability to be an effective advocate in a business environment, including the ability to manage difficult situations while standing firm with respect to company policies or positions - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently - Fluent in Spanish – Speaking, writing, reading, preferred but not required - Careful attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality - Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat - Remote opportunity Our Environment - Up to 10% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. - The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis. The base range for this position in the posted location is $39.42 - $54.47 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
