Job Description
Integrations Engineer
GoTab
About the role As a GoTab Integrations Engineer, you’ll help drive revenue and partner success by architecting and guiding integrations on GoTab’s open APIs from discovery and solution design to launch and optimization. You’ll also help shape our platform itself providing product feedback, influencing API design, and (if you’re inclined) contributing code to the next generation of GoTab APIs.This is your chance to: - Design and guide real partner integrations: map requirements to GoTab API endpoints, auth models, webhooks, and data flows and see them through from sandbox to production. - Build the stuff partners rely on: Postman collections, API specs, sample apps (Node/TypeScript), and reference webhooks that demonstrate best practices. - Explain the tricky bits clearly: rate limits, idempotency, retries, pagination, and schema nuances so devs leave confident instead of confused. - Debug like a pro across boundaries: inspect logs/traces, reproduce payloads, and help isolate issues in partner code, our SDKs, or APIs. Skills & Requirements Must-Haves: - A CS degree or equivalent knowledge you earned building cool things - Understanding of async JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, HTML5, CSS3 - Solid grasp of REST and GraphQL APIs - Excellent communication skills (making complicated concepts simple) - Curiosity, hustle, and a love for learning Bonus Points: - Experience with MarkoJS (our go-to framework) - PostgreSQL prowess - Linux command-line confidence - Hospitality/restaurant industry experience (you’ll speak our customers' language!) What We Offer - Medical, Dental, & Vision insurance - 401k with an employer match - Generous PTO & Holidays EEO GoTab is fully committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to attracting, retaining, developing, and promoting the most qualified employees without regard to their race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, genetic information, marital/familial status, disability, military status, veteran status, or any other protected status.
