Job Description
NOC Analyst
DMI (Digital Management, LLC)
• Effectively monitor all devices, platforms, and services within a network environment. • Manage and coordinate NOC team shift coverage to ensure NOC operations run efficiently and effectively. • Provide direction, training, and leadership to NOC staff. • Assist with managing NOC standard process and procedure documentation. • Ensure efficient resolution of service requests and incidents, ensuring compliance on assigned SLAs. • Provide timely and effective communication on service impacting incidents. • Analyze client LANs/WANs, isolating problems and recommending reconfiguration of new network hardware. • Modify command language programs and network startup files. • Participate in troubleshooting network/user problems and present resolutions for implementation. • Prepare a variety of network resource reports.
Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or two years of college.
- Certified as a network administrator for a specific network operating system.
- Two years of experience in a computer-related field.
- Knowledge of network operating systems.
- One year of experience in data communications engineering, network administration, or management, or similar fields.
- Experience with SNMP and RMON based software products.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, FDDI, high-speed WANs, and routers.
- Demonstrated experience with an IT Network Management and Monitoring system (e.g., SolarWinds Orion).
- Understanding of DNS and how it functions.
- Proficiency in CLI (Command Line Interface), SSH Client (e.g., PuTTY), and any service desk/ticketing system (e.g., Maximo).
- Knowledge of Cisco TACACS, Aruba ClearPass, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office Suite, Windows/other OS, SharePoint.
