If you have a hunter mentality and thrive in complex, high-stakes markets, this role offers both influence and growth potential. - Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within defense, intelligence, and national security markets to build a robust, multi-million-dollar pipeline. - Conduct targeted outreach to key decision-makers within government agencies, defense primes, and system integrators to secure discovery meetings for the sales team. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions, lead progression, and pipeline metrics within CRM systems to support forecasting and performance tracking. - Collaborate closely with Sales teams to develop tailored messaging and outreach strategies that effectively position Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings. - Partner with Product teams to share market insights and “Voice of the Customer” feedback that informs product roadmap decisions. - Support joint go-to-market initiatives with strategic partners to accelerate pipeline development and opportunity conversion. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and procurement landscapes to identify emerging opportunities and risks. Qualifications - Proven experience in business development or lead generation within the geospatial, space, defense, or intelligence sectors. - Strong understanding of the defense acquisition landscape (U.S., FVEYs, or international markets) and the ability to navigate complex procurement structures. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts related to Earth Observation, GEOINT, or satellite systems. - Demonstrated experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot to manage pipeline and reporting activities. - Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with a strong “hunter” mentality and ability to thrive in competitive environments. - Strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable business opportunities. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
