This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and growing a high-performing team of Field Reimbursement Managers across a multi-state region. You will ensure patients have timely access to specialty products by designing and executing field access strategies, educating healthcare providers on reimbursement processes, and resolving barriers in complex payer environments. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, medical affairs, marketing, and patient support teams to align access initiatives with overall business objectives. This role requires strategic thinking, strong operational oversight, and the ability to drive measurable outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. With significant travel across the region, you will serve as a key resource for both the team and external stakeholders, building relationships and ensuring consistent execution. Success in this role will directly impact patient access, revenue growth, and overall brand performance. Accountabilities: - Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Field Reimbursement Managers to support patient access and reimbursement efforts. - Develop and execute comprehensive field access strategies, aligning with brand priorities and corporate objectives. - Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance, reimbursement expertise, and collaboration with sales counterparts. - Oversee initiatives to educate healthcare providers on coding, billing, prior authorization, and patient support programs. - Maintain expertise in regional and local payer landscapes, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid policies. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and corporate standards, including HIPAA and OIG guidelines. - Partner with internal stakeholders across Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Patient Support to ensure seamless execution of strategies. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. - 10+ years of progressive experience in field reimbursement, patient services, market access, or related pharmaceutical/biotech functions. - 3+ years of experience as an Access and Reimbursement Manager or equivalent field-based leadership experience. - Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority. - In-depth knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement pathways, and specialty pharmacy processes. - Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75% across the assigned multi-state territory. - Experience managing remote teams and driving operational performance in a dynamic healthcare environment.
