Job Description

Sales Training Manager

Shoulder Innovations

• Develop and maintain comprehensive training curriculum for products, procedures, and market positioning • Deliver training through various modalities through in-person workshops, virtual sessions, cadaver labs, and surgeon-led programs • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Quality teams to ensure training content is clinically accurate and aligned with product strategy • Establish and manage systems for tracking training participation, competency assessments, and performance metrics • Maintain documentation of training according to regulatory and internal compliance standards • Facilitate ongoing education and skill development • Engage with orthopedic surgeons and key opinion leaders to support training initiatives and gather clinical insights • Remain current on clinical practices through attending surgical procedures, labs, and industry conferences • Provide feedback and coaching to sales representatives to enhance product knowledge and selling effectiveness • Support cross-functional initiatives related to product launches, clinical education, and commercial strategy • Travel up to 50% of the time, depending on needs and seasonality

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience in the orthopedic medical device industry required
  • Strong understanding of shoulder arthroplasty procedures, instrumentation, and clinical workflows required
  • Prior experience in medical device sales, sales training, clinical education, or product management required
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals required
  • Ability to clearly translate complex clinical concepts into effective training materials
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and training analytics tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-orientated
