• Manage the clinical cost & utilization program’s operations • Create and maintain policies and procedures for program operations • Train staff and leadership on key processes and procedures • Track, summarize, and communicate key information on the program’s health and needs through the development and maintenance of tracking tools and multiple reports to stakeholder audiences • Manage the execution of program initiatives through careful oversight of individual initiatives’ progress and compliance with program best practices and standards • Support initiative owners who need assistance in meeting key milestone dates and meeting program standards • Support the development and execution of new initiatives in the clinical cost & utilization program • Provide direct support for initiative owners as they describe and quantify cost & utilization concerns, potential solutions, and those solutions’ opportunity for potential impact • Provide direct project management support to scope, plan, and implement initiatives where needed • Collaborate and directly support feasibility and financial scoping of potential initiatives to ensure accurate forecasting of risks, resource needs, delivery costs, and potential net benefit • Collaborate with data and financial stakeholders to ensure accurate monitoring systems effectively report initiatives’ impact to each line of business and to the organization overall • Collaborate with organizational experts and stakeholders across the organization • Develop strong communication and process pathways with analytics, quality, finance, and project management departments to ensure program initiatives receive needed support in a timely and comprehensive manner • Develop strong communication and collaborative processes with line of business, benefit, and other stakeholders to ensure proactive information flows and aligned decision making

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in health care management, population health, cost and utilization, healthcare value, or similar fields, including at least 2 years in project or program management
  • Experience managing complex programs or project portfolios
  • Experience achieving impact through program or project management
  • Knowledge of project and/or program management skills including ability to effectively review and organize systems and workflows
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of project and program management
  • Detailed knowledge of healthcare finance and healthcare delivery systems

Job Description Role Summary The Fellowship Program Manager is responsible for the end-to-end administration, and continuous improvement of GM’s MBA Fellowship Program, which provides selected employees the opportunity to complete a full-time, two-year MBA at leading business schools while remaining employed by GM. Working within Global Talent / Global Leadership & Professional Development, this role partners closely with business leaders, HR, Talent Acquisition, external vendors, and university partners to manage candidate selection, program delivery, internship and post-program placement, and ongoing stakeholder communication. Key Responsibilities Program Design - Support the evolution of the MBA Fellowship Program strategy, aligning program objectives to GM’s enterprise priorities and leadership development strategy. - Manage and execute program roadmaps, timelines, and annual cycles (application, selection, school placement, internships, and post-program roles). - Maintain and update program documentation, including program overviews, processes, policies, selection criteria, and participant communications. Candidate Pipeline & Selection - Coordinate the application and nomination process, including launch communications, application windows, and FAQs for employees and leaders. - Partner with Global Talent, HR, and external vendors to execute a multi-step screening process (eligibility checks, performance indicators, essays, and external assessment inputs). - Facilitate selection governance, supporting reviews with functional leadership, HR, and senior stakeholders; coordinate offer communications and feedback for non-selected applicants.
