Software, Cloud Engineer
Beep, Inc.
• Design and build scalable cloud services to support autonomous vehicle operations, data ingestion, storage, and analytics • Experience with supporting and troubleshooting distributed web services using Google Cloud Platform services, RabbitMQ, APIs, and Databases • Develop backend systems for fleet management, telemetry, monitoring, and over-the-air (OTA) updates • Build and maintain high-availability, low-latency distributed systems • Support large-scale data pipelines for sensor data (LiDAR, camera, radar) used in training and simulation • Monitor, optimize, and secure cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost • Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend, platform, or cloud engineering
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++
- Experience building and operating services on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and message queues/streaming systems
