• Serve as Scrum Master for the VA LGY Analytics Team supporting dashboards, executive reporting, performance metrics, and data insights initiatives. • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions with strong stakeholder participation. • Ensure business priorities are clearly reflected in sprint goals and team commitments. • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, emphasizing incremental delivery of business value. • Promote alignment between analytics outputs and VA LGY strategic objectives. • Serve as a liaison between analytics team members, VA LGY business users, program leadership, and VA OIT. • Support Product Owners in translating business reporting needs into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes. • Ensure transparency of sprint progress, risks, and dependencies affecting reporting and dashboard deliverables. • Coordinate cross-team dependencies impacting data availability, reporting timelines, and executive deliverables. • Facilitate demonstrations of dashboards, reports, and analytics enhancements to business stakeholders and leadership. • Track and report Agile performance metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, throughput, and capacity to support predictable delivery of analytics products. • Monitor delivery performance against reporting deadlines and program milestones. • Lead retrospectives focused on improving collaboration between business stakeholders and analytics teams. • Encourage continuous improvement in requirements clarity, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder engagement. • Ensure analytics deliverables align with VA governance, documentation standards, data security, and compliance requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma and 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders in reporting, analytics, or data-driven initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams and business participants.
- Experience using Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
