As our Staff Platform Engineer, you’ll shape and lead our platform efforts. • Infrastructure: Make our production infrastructure more scalable and resilient (runtime reliability, capacity, failure modes), so we can grow fast without compromising stability. • Monitoring & alerting: Build best-in-class observability (metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs) and an alerting strategy that is actionable, low-noise, and improves incident response and on-call quality. • Cost & performance: Optimize our architecture to balance reliability, performance, and cloud costs—identify the biggest cost drivers, simplify where it matters, and turn infrastructure efficiency into a measurable business lever. • Developer experience: Treat our engineering workflows as a product—accelerate CI/CD, releases, environment management and automation, and create “golden paths” that make the right way the easiest way. • Security baseline: Raise the security bar across infrastructure (IAM, secrets, hardening, security monitoring) with pragmatic solutions that scale with the team and don’t add friction. • Technical leadership: Define the platform roadmap, align stakeholders, and lead cross-team initiatives end-to-end—bringing structure, standards, and mentorship so platform practices become shared, not heroic.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of platform and AI engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. • Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance for GenAI platform services, including LLM orchestration, prompt management, vector search, embeddings, and model integration. • Define and evolve the GenAI platform roadmap to support enterprise use cases, balancing speed of innovation with scalability, security, and cost efficiency. • Drive adoption of cloud-native and Azure-based architectures, including containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability. • Establish and mature LLMOps/MLOps practices, including model lifecycle management, monitoring, evaluation, versioning, and responsible AI controls. • Partner with data science, application engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure safe, ethical, and compliant use of Generative AI technologies. • Enable self-service capabilities and reusable platform components that empower application teams to rapidly build and deploy GenAI-powered solutions. • Ensure high-quality delivery through Agile best practices, clear engineering standards, and data-driven decision-making. • Communicate technical strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The range for this role is $388,000.00 - $558,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
