General Manager, Loyalty – Marketplace
Sezzle
• Define and execute the long-term vision for Sezzle’s Loyalty & Marketplace ecosystem. • Own full P&L responsibility of loyalty and marketplace products, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost discipline. • Develop multi-year roadmap aligned with Sezzle’s broader consumer and merchant strategy. • Design compelling loyalty mechanics that drive frequency, retention, and LTV. • Lead development of merchant-funded offers, rewards, and gamified engagement features. • Drive personalization and discovery strategies within Sezzle’s app and marketplace. • Build scalable monetization models, including sponsored placements, merchant-funded promotions, affiliate revenue, and data-driven retail media solutions. • Partner with Sales and Merchant Success to embed loyalty and marketplace offerings into merchant contracts. • Identify new revenue streams that increase merchant ROI and Sezzle ARPU. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Sales to execute roadmap. • Translate business objectives into prioritized product requirements. • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards across engagement, revenue, and merchant ROI. • Build and lead a high-performing team across strategy, partnerships, and operations. • Establish scalable processes for merchant onboarding, campaign management, and performance reporting. • Drive continuous experimentation and optimization.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in fintech, marketplaces, retail media, loyalty, or consumer tech.
- Proven experience owning a P&L or leading a GM-style business unit.
- Demonstrated success building or scaling a two-sided marketplace or loyalty platform.
- Strong understanding of consumer lifecycle metrics (LTV, CAC, retention, frequency).
- Experience with merchant-funded promotions, affiliate programs, or retail media networks.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.
- Data-driven decision maker with strong financial acumen.
- Experience with data analysis and/or software engineering.
- Exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in BNPL, payments, or consumer financial services is a strong plus.
