Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Stealth & Reverse Engineering team—the elite force responsible for making our headless browsers and traffic completely undetectable by modern anti-bot systems. - Own and evolve our custom fork of Chromium, continuously identifying and patching all behavioral and fingerprinting vectors that reveal automation. - Go deep into browser internals, reverse engineer anti-bot defenses, and create a fully cloaked browsing experience across real-world targets. - Build internal tools that detect, analyze, and resolve JavaScript-based bot challenges (like fingerprinting, integrity checks, proof-of-work, and obfuscation traps). - Help automate evasions across our infrastructure. This is a deeply technical, adversarial, and high-leverage role at the heart of what makes our scraping infrastructure world-class. We’re a remote-first company with a fast-paced, high-impact culture. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO, Aurken, and our Director of Engineering. Qualifications - 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on browsers, reverse engineering, or automation in adversarial environments. - Fluency in C++ and JavaScript (Node or browser), with ability to write clean, testable low-level code. - Deep understanding of Chromium internals: Blink, V8, DevTools Protocol, browser architecture, etc. - Proven experience patching Chromium or building hardened browser automation setups (e.g., stealth plugins, puppeteer-core forks). - Advanced knowledge of JavaScript fingerprinting, detection vectors, and browser inconsistencies. - Familiarity with anti-bot vendors like PerimeterX, Datadome, Kasada, Akamai Bot Manager, and FingerprintJS. - Strong debugging and tooling skills: Chrome DevTools, Wireshark, mitmproxy, Frida, Objection, or similar. - Experience automating evasion workflows and detection pipelines is a major plus. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Requirements - Be the team’s go-to expert in browser internals, bot detection evasion, and security-focused reverse engineering. - Mentor engineers in topics like V8 internals, JS fingerprinting, and browser automation stealth. - Help define our long-term strategy around browser-level evasion and undetectable scraping at scale. • The main technical point of contact for our customers across chat, Slack, calls, and escalations • Onboarding enterprise customers hands-on, writing integration samples, debugging their code, and running POCs • Joining sales calls as the technical voice and helping close deals • Keeping a close eye on account health and getting ahead of problems before customers feel them • Reproducing and fixing integration issues yourself, testing the API, writing samples, and digging through OpenSearch logs • Building internal automation that removes the repetitive stuff: API tests, triage workflows, reports, and sales-call prep • Writing guides, runbooks, and post-mortems that people actually refer back to • Giving product real evidence on bugs, friction points, and gaps and pushing for fixes • Creating regular reports for the team to help the company move forward.

• Own ZenRows' Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy • Understand how LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) surface and prioritize content, and build a strategy around it • Develop structured, citation-friendly content formats: comparison pages, definitional guides, integration explainers, and technical FAQs that earn LLM citations • Own competitive intelligence: track how competitors are being cited, recommended, and positioned in AI search • Own ZenRows' organic search strategy end-to-end: keyword research, topic prioritization, content gap analysis, and competitive benchmarking • Lead content operations: manage the editorial calendar, maintain publishing velocity, and ensure quality standards across in-house writers, freelancers, and external agencies • Manage, and develop a team of technical writers and editors, setting clear briefs, review processes, and feedback loops • Develop and maintain off-page SEO strategy: link acquisition, guest publishing, and building the kind of third-party authority signals that reinforce ZenRows' position • Create content specifically for the AI/LLM data pipeline audience: tutorials on using ZenRows for RAG pipelines, AI agents, training data collection, MCP server integrations, and agentic workflows • Build and maintain a library of integration content: how ZenRows works inside Clay, n8n, Make, Zapier, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and other workflow and AI platforms • Own the content layer of the trial-to-paid conversion journey • Lead, mentor, and develop the existing content team • Build a culture of experimentation and outcome orientation, not content volume.

• Writing world-class web scraping tutorials (Python, Node.js, and beyond) • Creating and improving technical documentation for our growing global user base • Producing technical content across multiple formats and platforms, including Medium articles, landing pages, GitHub repositories, and developer-focused microsites • Updating and optimizing older content to maintain industry-leading quality • Publishing comparison guides, concept explainers, and developer-focused deep dives • Collaborating closely with SEO, Customer Success, Product, and Growth • Bringing new content ideas proactively, we expect you to think, not just execute • Optimize content to be cited and surfaced by AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, not just rank on Google. • Track and report on content performance metrics, organic traffic, engagement, conversions, and iterate based on data, not intuition. • Potentially creating video-based educational content (nice to have)

• You will own critical infrastructure components that ingest, enrich, and route billions of data points — ensuring performance, reliability, and horizontal scalability. • Your work will directly impact throughput, customer SLAs, billing accuracy, and platform reliability. • As a Senior Engineer, you'll operate at the intersection of deep system design, hands-on implementation, and technical leadership. • You’ll collaborate with Infrastructure and Product teams to design fault-tolerant, observable, and cost-efficient systems that support our distributed workloads.
