Role Description The Washington Post is seeking an Account Manager to support the Content Licensing team during an extended leave coverage period. This role will focus on account management, onboarding coordination, renewals support, client communication, and operational execution across a portfolio of strategic licensing partners. - Support account management activities across a portfolio of licensing and distribution partners, including renewals coordination, onboarding support, and ongoing relationship management. - Coordinate onboarding and implementation workflows across Product, Engineering, Editorial, Finance, and Legal teams. - Manage client communications and support day-to-day requests, issue resolution, and escalation management. - Maintain account hygiene and lifecycle visibility within Salesforce, including renewal tracking, pipeline updates, contract metadata, and reporting. - Maintain organized contract records and support internal documentation workflows. - Support internal coordination for licensing launches, feed updates, and partner deliverables. - Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure accurate reporting, account visibility, and operational follow-through. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in account management, client services, sales operations, licensing, media partnerships, or a related field. - Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Experience managing client relationships and coordinating across multiple internal stakeholders. - Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset. - Interest in media, publishing, technology, AI/data, or enterprise partnerships preferred. - Bachelor’s degree preferred. Role Description The Washington Post is seeking a careful, collaborative and deadline-driven editor who can also design simple print pages to help shape our daily print pages through Dec. 31. - This contract role is an opportunity to bring opinions journalism to life in the print paper. - Work closely with the Opinions editing and visuals teams to design and lay out pages. - Proof pages and ensure all final editing notes are incorporated by deadline. - Maintain the high quality of our print product. - Involve some proofreading and editing for clarity and Post style for the website. This contract position can either be based in our Washington, D.C., newsroom or performed remotely from another location in the U.S. The role will involve working 37.5 hours per week, typically Sunday through Thursday from 12:30pm ET to 8pm ET. Qualifications - Seasoned editor with experience in working on print products, including laying out templated pages. - Excellent news judgment and ability to work quickly and collaboratively under deadline pressure. - Nimble, eager to learn new tools and comfortable working with tight turnarounds. This contract role is an opportunity to help shape coverage of some of the most consequential stories of the year. We are looking for a journalist who can: - Conceive, report, and execute visual-first stories that bring clarity, authority, and creativity to complex topics in politics, policy, and public life. - Contribute to breaking news coverage as well as ambitious enterprise and explanatory projects tied to elections and political trends. - Work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams to produce innovative, accessible, and essential work. This contract position can be based in our Washington, D.C., newsroom or remotely in another U.S. location. We are looking for someone who can start in late June or early July and work through to Dec. 31, 2026. Hours can be flexible; somewhere between 25 and 40 hours per week is ideal.
