Role Description Viasat is seeking a highly organized and proactive Contracts and Records Specialist to join our Government Affairs and Regulatory team. This is a critical role combining administrative excellence with paralegal-style support to ensure our team operates seamlessly. - Serve as a foundational member of the team, acting as a primary point of contact for contract administration and records management. - Manage essential vendor relationships, process required payments, and support global initiatives. Role Description The Maintenance Control Center Supervisor is a key member of Viasat’s Commercial Airline Support team, which helps deliver and maintain Viasat’s best-in-class “Viasat In-Flight Connectivity (IFC)” services to our Commercial Airline customers. Qualifications - 10+ years’ experience in networking appliance and services delivering integrated products and software development. - Experience leading multi-disciplined engineering execution with team over diverse geographical locations. - Proven ability to lead proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development. - Demonstrated understanding and experience contributing across product life cycle. - Experience with requirements management and product management toolsets (Jenkins, Github, Jira, PLM software) or DoD equivalent. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%. - Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or computer science. - US Citizenship. - DoD US Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Requirements - In-depth knowledge of US Special Operations Command systems, acquisition cycle, and technical roadmaps. - MS in Engineering (EE, CE, CS). - SD-WAN / SD-LAN experience with focus on network function virtualization (NFV), network slicing, and network orchestration. - Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent knowledge/experience. - Experience with complex government mission systems and service acquisition. - Knowledge of low-level OS and CPU features such as multi-threading, virtualization, synchronization, and memory management on Linux or Linux-like Operating Systems. - Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker/Kubernetes. - Background working with cloud platforms including Amazon, Openstack, Microsoft’s Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. - Familiarity with encryption products/processes/architectures. - Knowledge/Experience of commercial and military satellite communications systems and programs. Benefits - Salary range: $159,500.00 - $252,000.00 / annually. - For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area, and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $198,500.00 - $297,500.00 / annually. - Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package. - A range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
