What you’ll do and why it’s career defining This is a rare opportunity to design the developer experience for a generational cloud platform — the CLIs, SDKs, integrations, and dashboards that every user will touch the moment they meet Unikraft. As a Tooling Engineer, you won’t be bolted on to the side of the platform. You’ll be building the surface through which developers actually use it, and the glue that connects it to the ecosystems they already live in: Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and beyond. You’ll work closely with world-class systems engineers, with direct ownership over the tools, integrations, and self-serve experiences that turn raw platform capability into something developers love. What You’ll Own Developer Tooling & SDKs - Build and maintain developer tooling across the platform, including CLIs, TUIs, and SDKs. - Develop and improve integrations such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions. - Work with APIs and integration points to make the platform feel native inside existing developer workflows. Dashboard & Self-Serve Experience - Contribute to the frontend and backend systems powering the dashboard and overall self-serve experience. - Help deploy and monitor all our external-facing services — from our website, to our dashboard, to our packaging and installation infrastructure. Platform & Prototyping - Work on lower systems-level components that directly interface with our low-level platform. - Prototype new platform capabilities such as sandboxed environments and remote builds. • Architect, build, and maintain the core infrastructure powering Unikraft Cloud—both hosted and on-prem. • Design and implement the platform’s main components at scale (think: 100,000+ instances per server) with native support for scale-to-zero, autoscaling, and strong isolation. • Optimize for performance, security, and reliability across diverse workloads—from serverless functions and AI agents to remote IDEs and telemetry backends. • Provide input to and help design the platform’s technical roadmap.

• Work directly with clients to onboard and migrate complex infrastructure onto Unikraft Cloud • Troubleshoot, refine, and ensure the performance and reliability of customer deployments • Leverage your hands-on knowledge of Docker, Dockerfiles, and Linux-based systems to support and scale infrastructure • Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and integration • Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the intricacies of next-gen cloud infra • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to incorporate customer feedback into our roadmap

• You will be our first dedicated developer relations lead responsible for building the voice of Unikraft and scaling our developer ecosystem. • You will own the content, messaging, and storytelling that positions Unikraft as the category leader. • You'll work closely with the CEO and GTM team to translate cutting-edge cloud technology into compelling narratives that build trust, establish expertise, and generate demand across all funnel stages. • A natural storyteller who can make complex problems feel tangible. • As our first content hire, you'll have massive autonomy to build from scratch and significant growth potential as we scale.
