Role Description Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring mid-level Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development. - Contribute to software development across the Mission Solutions portfolio. - Work alongside a senior Solutions Architect and leverage modern AI tools to accelerate delivery. - Bring existing engineering experience while continuing to grow toward a Solutions Architect track. - Take ownership of features and support field and integration activities as needed. Preferred locations: Austin, TX, or Remote. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, military exercises, and major integration events. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience). - 6+ years of software engineering experience. - Demonstrated ability to deliver production software. - Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset. - Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred. - U.S. Citizenship required. This is a pipeline role designed to develop the next generation of Solutions Architects. - Work directly with a senior Solutions Architect to build up engineering capabilities. - Leverage modern AI tools to force-multiply the team’s impact and accelerate delivery for high-demand programs. - Take on progressively challenging work with a clear growth path toward a Solutions Architect track. We are seeking ambitious, innovative, and curious engineers ready to learn fast and contribute quickly. Preferred locations: Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events. • Accelerate adoption and operational deployment of all Ultra I&C products across Joint, Coalition, and Federal mission environments. • Partner with Business Development, Sales, Program Management and Solutions Architecture to shape and win new opportunities. • Develop technical integration approaches, white papers, and CONOPS. • Deliver technical briefings to operational and executive stakeholders. • Support trade shows, industry days, and mission exercises. • Research the C2 market for competition, trends, partner opportunities and innovative solutions. • Lead field integration of Ultra products into MAOCs/AOCs/MOCs, ISR cells, Tactical edge environments, Sensor and CUAS ecosystems. • Troubleshoot interoperability and performance issues in live environments. • Serve as the primary or secondary technical point of contact during exercises, demonstrations or technical discussions. • Translate system performance and integration constraints into operational terms.

• Improves the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis to ensure the company’s supply meets the customers’ demand • Monitors the company’s supply chains, ensuring timely delivery and material costs are within budget • Provides pricing for material estimating under multiple contract types • Supports the entire proposal process from request for proposal (RFP) through the program approval process • Collaborates across multiple functions to prepare and submit first-time quality, compliant, and on-time proposals • Coordinates multiple activities such as sourcing, warehousing, deliveries, and scheduling production • Collects and analyzes sourcing data to reduce costs and increase efficiency • Manages supply chain processes and inventory using material resource planning tools • Analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement of efficiency, cost reduction and timely delivery of products • Identifies and measures inefficiencies and costs, identifying opportunities to streamline the supply chain

• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across business units and indirect cost centers • Develop and maintain detailed financial models supporting revenue, cost forecasting, and profitability analysis • Analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis for direct and indirect costs • Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Contracts, and Operations to monitor financial performance and cost drivers • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit requirements • Assist in indirect rate development, tracking, and forecasting • Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations for senior leadership • Support audits, incurred cost submissions, and government reporting requirements • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems

• Reviews and approves all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy. • Advises leadership of contractual rights and obligations and also provides interpretation of terms and conditions. • Prepare, review, and edit contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and relevant laws. • Lead the negotiation and execution of contract amendments or extensions when necessary. • Lead and manage contract life cycle, including kick-off and close activities • Monitor and enforce contract compliance throughout the contract's lifecycle, including tracking key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines. • Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract repository, including version control, renewal dates, and related documentation. • Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests. • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact contracts and ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal requirements. • Generate reports and provide contract-related data and insights to management and other stakeholders as needed. • Conduct training sessions or provide guidance to employees and team members on contract management best practices and compliance.

• Leads the design and implementation of automated payroll and attendance systems, collaborating with HR, IT, and payroll teams across multiple regions. • Ensures system compliance with pay policies and government regulations while overseeing testing and auditing phases to ensure accuracy. • Prepares, documents, distributes and reconciles payroll accurately and timely every cycle. • Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of government legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. • May prepare or oversee required tax filings and other reporting. • Responds to and resolves inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. • Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.

• Oversee all sales activities for the Ultra I&C communications (tactical radios, troposcatter, satellite communications) for the geographic territory of UK/Eastern Europe/MENA. • Develop and execute strategic sales pursuits in line with departmental and business unit growth plans. • Take ownership of the strategic sales plan and execution for the territory of UK/Eastern Europe/MENA. • Develop, present and execute winning sales pursuit strategies. • Be responsible for in-country partner and sales channel development. • Act as a trusted advisor to the customer on the best approach to solve their needs. • Lead cross-functional teams effectively during pre-sale stages. • Manage the Sales Funnel by employing effective strategies to develop opportunities from prospecting stage to booking. • Win orders - identify, plan and lead the execution of strategies to obtain orders as per budget.

• Conduct extensive web research (OSINT/WEBINT) from platforms across the web, social media, mass data and data bases • Analyze large amounts of data, conduct and present clear reports, while working with data and analytics software/methodologies • Be responsible for research and supporting of the Product

• Lead implementation and sustainment of NIST SP 800-171 controls and CMMC Level 2 practices. • Develop and maintain compliance artifacts: SSPs, POA&Ms, Asset inventories, boundary definitions, Network and data flow diagrams. • Conduct internal gap assessments and readiness reviews for CMMC. • Support evidence collection and technical walkthroughs during audits. • Translate compliance requirements into actionable technical work items. • Design, implement, and harden on-premise systems supporting CUI environments (Windows/Linux servers, AD/Entra ID hybrid, virtualization, network segmentation). • Implement and tune technical security controls, including: Identity & access management (MFA, least privilege, RBAC), Endpoint security (EDR, device hardening, patching), Vulnerability scanning and remediation, Centralized logging and monitoring (SIEM), Secure configuration baselines (CIS/STIG-aligned). • Partner with IT infrastructure to implement network security controls (firewalls, VLANs, NAC, secure remote access). • Support secure system builds, change management, and incident response in CUI environments. • Help integrate security into on-prem and hybrid architectures (VMware/Hyper-V + cloud where applicable).
