Role Description Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring mid-level Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development. - Contribute to software development across the Mission Solutions portfolio. - Work alongside a senior Solutions Architect and leverage modern AI tools to accelerate delivery. - Bring existing engineering experience while continuing to grow toward a Solutions Architect track. - Take ownership of features and support field and integration activities as needed. Preferred locations: Austin, TX, or Remote. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, military exercises, and major integration events. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience). - 6+ years of software engineering experience. - Demonstrated ability to deliver production software. - Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset. - Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred. - U.S. Citizenship required. This is a pipeline role designed to develop the next generation of Solutions Architects. - Work directly with a senior Solutions Architect to build up engineering capabilities. - Leverage modern AI tools to force-multiply the team’s impact and accelerate delivery for high-demand programs. - Take on progressively challenging work with a clear growth path toward a Solutions Architect track. We are seeking ambitious, innovative, and curious engineers ready to learn fast and contribute quickly. Preferred locations: Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events.
