Supply Chain Analyst, Material Estimator

Ultra Intelligence & Communications

• Improves the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis to ensure the company’s supply meets the customers’ demand • Monitors the company’s supply chains, ensuring timely delivery and material costs are within budget • Provides pricing for material estimating under multiple contract types • Supports the entire proposal process from request for proposal (RFP) through the program approval process • Collaborates across multiple functions to prepare and submit first-time quality, compliant, and on-time proposals • Coordinates multiple activities such as sourcing, warehousing, deliveries, and scheduling production • Collects and analyzes sourcing data to reduce costs and increase efficiency • Manages supply chain processes and inventory using material resource planning tools • Analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement of efficiency, cost reduction and timely delivery of products • Identifies and measures inefficiencies and costs, identifying opportunities to streamline the supply chain

Job Requirements

  • Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 4+ years related experience
  • An Associate Degree in a related field and 6+ years related experience
  • May be required to maintain security clearance

This HYBRID position will be available at our Wilmington, DE location and report directly to the TT Americas Supply Chain Manager. As a supply planner, you will be working directly with the regional North America supply chain and commercial teams to anticipate and maintain inventory levels in order to keep the region adequately supplied. To be successful as a supply planner, an individual needs to have experience in supply chain management, possess strong analytical skills and a think outside the box approach. Title: Commercial Supply Chain Manager, Small Molecule Location: Boston United States Job Description: Job Description General Summary: The Commercial Supply Chain Manager will support commercial supply chain execution for a late-stage small molecule program. As Vertex expands its portfolio and advances new therapies toward commercialization, this role will play a key part in monthly supply planning, the S&OP process, planning system setup, inventory management, Long Range Plans (LRP) and cross-functional supply chain coordination. The position is responsible for delivering the monthly supply planning tasks, support in the S&OP process, setting up planning & execution systems and partnering with cross-functional teams to align material, capacity, and operational requirements to support on-time manufacturing execution and product supply. The role will also support process integration, system testing, and continuous improvement efforts to help build a best-in-class supply chain. This position reports to the Associate Director, Commercial Supply Chain - Pipeline, within Supply Chain Management and the Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Operations (BSMO) division, and is based at Vertex's corporate headquarters in Boston, MA. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Deliver monthly end to end Supply and Inventory build plans using Kinaxis Maestro / Rapid Response, taking into consideration supplier capacity, demand uncertainty, and overall risk management. - Support the commercial and late-stage small molecules program including scenario planning to facilitate data driven decisions.
