Title: Civil Project Engineer II/III - Renewable Energy Structural Design Location: United States Job Description: Employees can work remotely Full-time Division: Infrastructure Engineering Job Description Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group, based in Richmond, VA. Remote work options are available for qualified candidates. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy and structural design projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. • Performing a wide variety of production tasks for the GIS Staff Augmentation Group supporting projects for our client. • Assisting and supporting meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines. • Using various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS), as well as various geographic data formats and standard data conversion and transformation methods, for geographic analysis. • Updating Geospatial data on an as-needed basis. • Creating maps, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects. • Working cooperatively with Project Managers and peers to complete assigned work. • Proactively seeking input and clarification from other employees assigned to given projects to minimize time spent in performing the essential duties of the position. • Troubleshooting problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data. • Providing process-oriented approach to project work and performing other duties as assigned.
• Offer comprehensive consulting on data management best practices, including workflows, tools, governance models and integration patterns. • Lead the design and development of enterprise geographic information systems (GIS) and the implementation of Utility Networks (UN). • Conduct data model design and development tasks and apply sophisticated geospatial analysis techniques to datasets. • Collaborate closely with the development team to provide GIS support, training, and assistance, as well as to troubleshoot complex problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data. • Support the development and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions and applications, build complex data migration/ETL processes, and provide ongoing support for GIS programs and functions requiring programming and analysis. • Write technical documentation for training and user workflows.

The GIS Technical Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of production tasks for the GIS Staff Augmentation Group supporting projects for our client. They assist and support meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be based in the Raleigh, NC area but we are open to remote candidates outside of Raleigh, NC.
