Job Summary: The Senior Global Program Manager supports the Global Operations Team in ensuring high-quality project execution and operational excellence across our global portfolio of projects. This is a dynamic role that requires a combination of skills across operations, project management, process design and improvement, data analytics, planning, and communications. Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Project Delivery - Support the Chief Operating Officer in identifying the need for and designing tools, systems, and resources that support improved and consistent project delivery. - Lead organization-wide project quality and delivery initiatives designed to establish standards and share best practices. - Lead implementation of TechnoServe’s global annual Program Quality survey; analyze and communicate the results; and generate and implement recommendations for improvements. - Support the implementation of TechnoServe’s annual planning process for programs by coordinating with senior leadership, country, and program teams to develop annual program quality targets. - Analyze annual program quality plans and targets to ensure global teams are in alignment with TechnoServe’s strategy. - Oversee the monitoring of program budget execution across Regions and Practices. - Provide on-going monitoring and analysis of key indicators, identifying performance gaps, risks and areas for improvement. Operations Management - Partner with the Chief Operating Officer in the continual evaluation of operational processes to identify areas of improvement. - Develop and implement project management tools and processes related to sub-awardee management, budget planning and management, and program management. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement and lead operational improvement initiatives. - Liaise with HR, Finance, Grants and Contracts, Procurement, and other departments to identify and resolve policy clarity and interpretations and/or recurring issues affecting program success - Design, develop, and roll-out project start-up and closeout guidelines. Surge Support - Provide on-demand “surge” support to projects and country teams to support program implementation and success both in-country and remotely including: - Lead start-ups and closeouts and ensure that standards established in the Program Management Manual are followed. - Support program implementation through work planning, strategic planning, knowledge management capture, or other technical support. - Assist with financial analysis and budget realignment to ensure accurate financial management. - Provide capacity-building support and other training to project staff and broader team members. - Step in, as needed, to temporarily fill vacancies for key positions within the program teams. Basic Qualifications: - A minimum of 10 years of experience in international development or operations management with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 7 years experience with an advanced degree. - Program implementation experience. - Experience in financial analysis, as well as process analysis and improvement. - Experience in change management and consensus building. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in emerging markets in Africa - Proficiency in French Required Languages: English Fluency required. French language skills are strongly preferred. Travel: Up to 20 % international travel. Job Summary: The Donor Database Analyst serves as the primary manager of TechnoServe's donor database, Raiser's Edge (RE), and is responsible for ensuring that data is entered effectively, efficiently, and accurately. This role oversees the integrity and reliability of the database as a whole—establishing and enforcing data standards, building reports and queries, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement in how the organization captures and uses donor information. The Donor Database Analyst works closely with and supports other programs within the Advancement team—including direct mail, major gifts, and digital marketing—to meet their data needs through data pulls, setting standards, and reporting. The Donor Database Analyst manages gift processing and donor acknowledgments. Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Database Management - Coordinate, maintain, and troubleshoot the Raiser's Edge (RE) database, including daily data entry and gift and pledge tracking, pulling in data from a variety of sources including manual entry, imports from our online giving platform, and imports from our gift processing firm - Conduct regular data hygiene, including reviewing and cleaning up outdated records, retired codes, and duplicate entries to keep the database well-organized and reliable - Develop, monitor, and enforce data entry guidelines to ensure data quality and consistency - Identify and establish metrics and KPIs to measure data standards and hygiene across the database - Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and integrate data processes, whether through artificial intelligence, automation platforms, or other tools - Gift Processing and Donor Acknowledgment - Enter and track all revenue raised through private fundraising efforts in RE - Oversee all aspects of gift entry, including online, recurring gift processing, direct mail, stock and wire transfers, and white mail - Manage the donor acknowledgment process for direct mail - Work with the finance department to reconcile RE gift information with TechnoServe's general bank ledger - Oversee work of caging firm to ensure accuracy and efficiency of services - Manage relationship with merchant account provider - Program Support - Serve as the primary data partner to the direct mail program, owning the end-to-end process of pulling, preparing, and delivering data for mailings, and coordinating the exchange of data between TechnoServe and our direct mail vendor - Collaborate with the major gifts and digital marketing teams to understand their data needs and support their work: - Build queries, exports, and reports as needed - Train and guide team members to develop their own queries and reports for use in data analysis, prospect analysis, and appeal/campaign analysis - Work with teams to understand their needs for organizing, tagging, and coding constituents in the database, and help develop solutions that make sense within the context of overall database management—for example, establishing code tables that allow the digital marketing team to flag the most engaged recipients or the major gifts team to identify and track the highest-potential donors - - Other duties as assigned. Title: Senior Specialist, Donor Engagement & Growth Location: Arlington, Virginia, 22209, United States Full time Hybrid The Senior Specialist of Donor Engagement & Growth is responsible for deepening relationships and scaling TechnoServe’s donor pipelines by enhancing the donor journey for our most promising mid-level supporters (between $500 - $5,000), optimizing programming for our Global Advisory Council (GAC), and driving volunteer engagement and giving among our Fellows Alumni. The Sr. Specialist provides a high-touch experience for donors in these groups and acts as a collaborative partner to internal teams—layering engagement strategies over existing workflows to help move donors toward their full philanthropic potential. The Senior Specialist reports to the Sr. Director of Major Gifts. Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Donor Overlay & Project Management (40%) - Mid-Level Growth: Act as a dedicated partner to the Direct Mail and Digital teams. "Overlay" personalized engagement onto existing mass-marketing cycles to ensure high-potential donors feel seen and valued without disrupting current workflows. These donors are in direct mail and digital marketing cycles to provide them with an enhanced donor experience where personalized outreach complements automated workflows. - GAC Program Management: Serve as a program lead for the Global Advisory Council. Drive a consistent baseline of engagement. For GAC members in Major Gift Officer (MGO)-managed portfolios, act as a strategic partner, providing the programmatic "baseline" (communications, help with events, and updates) that allows MGOs to layer on bespoke, high-level touches with a focus on onboarding newer members and activating mid-level members who are not yet in MGO portfolios, moving them toward their full philanthropic potential. - Alumni Empowerment: Act as a catalyst for the 500+ Fellows Alumni, motivating key volunteers in different regions to hold networking events, keeping the alumni a self-sustaining and increasingly donor-ready group. Develop giving tracks, especially for alumni who have moved into executive roles. Keep fellows educated on TechnoServe’s success, challenges and opportunities to help through facilitating a quarterly newsletter and other communications Relationship Management (40%) - Direct Engagement: Get on the phone and proactively reach out to thank donors and volunteers, listen to their stories, and understand the "why" behind their generosity. Be comfortable asking a donor about their life’s passions as well as analyzing their giving history. The goal is to move beyond the transaction to help build a community of supporters. - The Handoff: Serve as the bridge to MGOs, providing the "intel," nuances, and briefing memos needed for MGOs to invite donors into five- and six-figure investments. Act as the connective tissue that ensures a donor’s journey from "interested" to "invested" feels seamless and personal. - Events: Serve as a member of the event planning team for donor cultivation events, salon dinners, and virtual functions, to help ensure these events are structured for increased investment. - Internal Innovation & Excellence (20%) - Donor Journey Resource: Serve as an optimizer of the donor experience. Identify friction points in the donor journey and propose creative, data-backed solutions to improve retention and increase giving. - CRM Mastery: Maintain impeccable records in The Raiser’s Edge, using data to report on the "health" of donor segments. Ensure all donor interactions are tracked in the CRM in a timely and thorough manner. - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that appeals, newsletters, and other donor-centric materials that reach specific donor segments are tailored to resonate. Act as a solution partner to colleagues, identifying and solving "pain points" in the donor journey through data-informed strategies. Basic Qualifications - Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in fundraising, alumni relations, or account management, or a Master’s with 3+ years of experience. - Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and moving donors up a "giving pyramid." - Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and utilizing The Raiser’s Edge. - Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex international development data into a compelling "business case" for giving.
