Role Description The Infrastructure Systems Engineering team is in the midst of building our next-generation private cloud infrastructure as part of a greenfield initiative to in-house existing internal use cases on public cloud and support new initiatives. The historical deployment primarily supported our database test system: A system that runs over 7.25 million tests per month, writes petabytes to storage daily, and we’re currently scaling multiple times in the next year alone. As a Software Engineer, Private Cloud Systems, you will be tasked with the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems at lower abstraction levels. You’ll collaborate closely with a small, highly skilled team to drive a careful balance between battle-hardened best practices and creative innovation in an environment that embraces working from first principles, celebration of failure, and egoless technical discussion. Qualifications - At least 5 years of experience developing and optimizing systems software. - Deep expertise in at least one of: - virtualization - storage - service modeling & REST API/SDK generation - scientific or high-performance computing - kernel development - Natural curiosity or drive to learn about new or adjacent technologies. - Experience designing, developing, and/or troubleshooting distributed systems. - Comfort with at least one systems programming language (C/C++, golang) and one scripting language (python, bash). - Comfort with shells on *nix family systems. - B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field. Requirements - Engage in the design and development of major infrastructure components and systems, focusing on fault tolerance and performance. - Practice principles of distributed leadership - being comfortable shifting between leading, collaborating with, and following your peers on different projects. - Own your systems end-to-end from design to production. - Work closely with other teams to ensure the successful integration and operation of our infrastructure systems. - Foster an environment where people take chances because they aren’t punished for mistakes and improve over time because they learn from not just their mistakes but those of others. - Enable fact-driven decision-making by deferring to the data or code in question whenever possible. - Drive continuous improvement in system reliability and usability. Benefits - Experience with low-level monitoring & profiling (e.g. pcm, perf, bpf). - Experience with, or hobbyist interest in, distributed elastic AI / LLM CPU inference (e.g. OpenVino, llama.cpp). - Familiarity with, or interest in, SingleStore or other distributed SQL databases. Role Description The Software Engineer (Cloud Foundations) will work on core product systems using Kubernetes, Go, and Python. We use Terraform for repeatable, safe, infrastructure-as-code installations, including our bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) offering. The ideal candidate values deep troubleshooting and holistic system ownership. - You will contribute reviewed code, pair with experienced engineers, and have a dedicated mentor. - Interns do not hold the production pager nor on-call. - Early weeks are for onboarding; mid-term involves owning a concrete ticket/mini-project; and by the end, a demo or résumé write-up is expected. - The role involves hands-on use of industry-standard tools, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform IaC, and CI/CD with guardrails. - You will practice debugging beyond local environments. - Optional stretch work on areas like async jobs, ingress, or orchestration is available with senior engineers. Benefits - Hands-on experience within small, collaborative Platform and Infrastructure teams. - Opportunities to work on real shipping processes. - Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by improving Terraform module variables or documentation. - Build essential Observability Practices by adding metrics, log fields, or trace spans. - Stretch opportunities involving pairing with and review by a Staff Engineer.

This role focuses on fast, reliable delivery of digital and print assets that enable campaigns, events, and sales motions—helping the company show up consistently across every buyer touchpoint. Revenue Marketing–specific expectations (how this role creates leverage) - Maintain and improve self-serve templates for GTM teams (decks, one-pagers, event kits, social layouts) so execution can scale without constant design cycles. - Support Programs, Digital, and Content with rapid-turn creative for campaigns and events (including “last-mile” polish on executive-facing materials). - Reduce rework and cycle time by enforcing consistent specs (dimensions, exports, brand-safe layouts) and clear intake/feedback loops. Your Experience - 2–4+ years of professional design experience in agency and/or corporate environments. - Strong portfolio showcasing layout, typography, systems thinking, and brand work across digital and print. - Expert-level skills in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with Google Slides and PowerPoint. - Comfortable working within brand guidelines and design systems—knowing when and how to flex them. - Excellent communication skills; able to explain design decisions, receive feedback without ego, and keep projects moving. - Strong attention to detail (alignment, spacing, naming conventions, exports) and ability to manage multiple projects with realistic timelines. Working Style - Remote collaboration primarily via Slack, email, and video calls. - Comfortable operating in a fast-paced GTM environment where priorities can shift quickly (events, launches, deal support). Please Share (Application Requirements) - Portfolio link (required) - Brief note about relevant experience (required) - Location and time zone availability (required) Location: Remote (USA) Type / Compensation Part-time (up to 20 hours/week) • Hourly rate: $25/hour • May transition to full-time based on demand SingleStore delivers the cloud-native database with the speed and scale to power the world’s data-intensive applications.
