• Process invoices, receipts, and expense reports in line with Simprints’ financial policies and procedures • Support monthly financial reconciliations and reporting to the HQ Finance team • Assist with tracking project budgets and flagging variances to relevant stakeholders • Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements • Perform OFAC screening of funding recipients • Manage distribution of cash to participants through mobile money or local banks • Maintain controls to ensure funding is reaching intended recipients • Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and internal reviews • Perform market assessments, ensuring that there’s an annual review of all core/common costs • Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Ethiopia office, including supplies, facilities, and logistics • Coordinate travel, visas, and accommodation for staff and visitors • Support country project manager to facilitate discussions with government offices and partners to secure approvals and documents • Act as the main point of contact with local vendors, service providers, and office partners • Lead procurement and vendor management in line with organisational policies • Ad hoc vehicle safety checks • Booking training venues and supporting on all admin aspects for routine meetings and trainings • Support onboarding and offboarding of staff and consultants in coordination with the HQ People team • Maintain accurate local HR files and documentation • Assist with timesheet collection, leave tracking, and local HR compliance requirements • Serve as a local point of contact for people-related operational queries

Role Description Simprints is entering a new phase of organisational scale and operational complexity. We are looking for an operational and detail-oriented Chief Operating Officer (Fractional/Part-time) to help strengthen cross-functional execution, governance, and AI integration across the company. This is not a traditional “head of operations” role responsible for directly managing operational departments. Instead, this role is focused on improving how the organisation operates between functions: - Driving accountability - Improving decision-making clarity - Integrating AI into our operations - Helping the leadership team execute more effectively You will work closely with the CEO and Management Team as an embedded executive operator, helping connect strategy to execution while improving organisational maturity without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy. This role will support the Partnerships team to identify, qualify, and progress high-value opportunities more effectively, while improving the systems, data, and automation that underpin our revenue generation. You will sit at the intersection of sales operations, market intelligence, AI-enabled automation, and proposal development. One day you might be improving our CRM and pipeline reporting; the next, building an AI-assisted workflow to scan donor opportunities; the next, coordinating inputs for a grant application or preparing a funder brief. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and helping senior relationship-holders move faster and more strategically. You will make the Partnerships team sharper, more disciplined, and better equipped to grow a healthy and diversified pipeline. Qualifications - Experience in sales operations, growth operations, fundraising operations, business development operations, ideally in a mission-driven, technology, global health, or international development context. - Strong systems and process skills, including experience managing CRMs, pipelines, dashboards, spreadsheets, trackers, or workflow tools. - Confidence using AI and automation tools to improve team efficiency, reduce manual work, and create scalable processes. - Excellent research, analytical, and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn complex market or funder information into clear recommendations. - Strong written communication and project coordination skills, including the ability to support proposals, support and produce presentations, funder briefs, internal decision documents, and cross-team deadlines.
