Role Description We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in .NET, C#, Angular, and Azure to support the development of core insurance applications. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in software engineering and experience working within insurance underwriting and policy management systems, particularly in an MGA environment. You will contribute to building scalable applications, integrations, and services that support business-critical insurance operations while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. Position Overview The Insurance Underwriting Assistant plays a key role in the Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting team throughout the entire policy lifecycle from submission through issuance. Key Responsibilities Underwriting Operations Support - Set up new and renewal business applications for quoting; coordinate timely quote turnaround and reviews for accuracy. - Verify and validate data accuracy on submitted applications and related documents (applicant, policy, and financial information). - Managing outstanding subjectivities to ensure completion prior to policy issuance and premium collection. - Maintain and update underwriting databases and systems; troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues as needed. Communication & Collaboration - Act as a liaison between underwriters, agents, and market partners to facilitate smooth workflow and issue resolution. - Communicate account status updates clearly and promptly to all stakeholders. - Provide responsive, professional service in both verbal and written correspondence to meet client expectations. Process Improvement & Miscellaneous - Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. - Support audits, training, or project initiatives as assigned. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, ideally within an E&S or MGA environment is required. Role Description The Agency Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition for new member agencies by providing comprehensive training and support. This position focuses on educating new members on processes, technology platforms, and industry best practices to maximize their efficiency and success. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and proficient in training both individuals and groups. - Facilitate onboarding for all new member agencies, with a primary focus on process training and technology utilization. - Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions on the use of raters, including: - EZLynx - PL Rater - Provide training on Nexsure Retail Agent Portal and SIAA’s Connect Platform to ensure effective utilization. - Master and deliver training on SIAA’s Optimizing AccessPlus Resources (OAR) Manual to support new members. - Oversee the implementation and completion of the Agency Foundation Program 3.0 for start-up member agencies. - Promote and provide training on SIAA’s Training and Learning Center (TLC) and MarketFinder resources. - Collaborate with Agency Growth Coaches and Regional Vice Presidents to offer additional training and serve as a resource for member agencies. - Maintain frequent communication with internal teams to align efforts and ensure consistency in onboarding support. - Utilize follow-up procedures to document and track discussions with agencies, ensuring accountability and progress. - Attend and actively participate in all Master Agency meetings. - Perform additional duties as directed. Qualifications - Prior experience in insurance agency operations, onboarding, or training is preferred. - Strong understanding of insurance rating platforms (EZLynx, PL Rater) and agency management systems (Nexsure). - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train individuals and groups effectively. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant technology tools. - Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. - Ability to travel occasionally for training sessions and agency meetings as needed.
