Mobile Developer Lead (Australia)

Reporting to the Lead Development Engineer and working within an experienced and collaborative development team, you will be responsible for building performant, scalable, and sustainable mobile application architecture and software. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will spend the majority of your time actively coding and developing, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to the team. Your responsibilities will include: - Working with the technology team in the adoption and maintenance of modern (agile) software engineering practices. - Building and integrating dynamic, responsive, and high-quality mobile interfaces using React Native and related technologies. - Supporting critical technology incidents as needed, including debugging and resolving mobile issues using tools like Sentry, Flipper, or React Native Debugger. - Contributing to initiatives in technology architecture, scalability, security, and performance. - Leading and executing React Native upgrades, ensuring smooth version migrations, stability, and dependency compatibility. - Delivering high-quality hands-on engineering work aligned with the company's commercial objectives. - Mentoring other mobile engineers and team members Working within defined project management guidelines and security best practices. - Contributing technical inputs to the product team and roadmap discussions. You will carry a quota, close deals and lead from the front while helping lift the performance of the team around you. This role is ideal for a high performing SaaS seller stepping into their first or second leadership role. Typical deal sizes range from $3K to $10K ARR in a high velocity sales motion. If you prefer managing dashboards instead of selling to customers, this role will not be the right fit. • Own a portfolio of clients post-onboarding and serve as their trusted advisor. • Conduct regular outbound calls to drive seat expansion, plan upgrades, and usage growth. • Proactively identify high-value opportunities using customer data and product usage trends. • Collaborate with Operations and CS leadership to execute strategic growth plans for key accounts. • Maintain strong relationships through purposeful check-ins and tailored guidance. • Help customers adopt underused or newly released product features. • Guide clients through best practices to improve value realisation and workflow efficiency. • Create or contribute to customer-facing content (webinars, videos, help docs, templates). • Maintain accurate, detailed notes and next steps in HubSpot and ChurnZero. • Prioritise tasks effectively, managing time across calls, follow-ups, reviews, and CRM hygiene. • Work cross-functionally with Support, Sales, Product, and Marketing to solve customer issues and deliver an exceptional experience. • Analyse customer behaviour data and translate insights into clear action plans. • Educate customers on new features and product updates. • Escalate issues effectively — distinguishing between user error, training gaps, bugs, and feature requests. • Advocate for customers by sharing insights.
