• The SAP HR Systems Technician plays a vital role in configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the South Carolina Department of Public Health’s Human Resources systems. • This position is responsible for implementing system configuration changes, optimizing workflows, improving data quality, and supporting reporting needs based on technical capabilities and business requirements. • Working closely with HR, IT, and Finance teams, the technician ensures that system functionality aligns with operational goals and compliance standards. • The role involves hands-on configuration, testing, documentation, and support of SAP HR modules, as well as identifying and implementing workflow-driven solutions to reduce manual processes and improve data integrity. • With a strong emphasis on technical problem-solving, system optimization, and data-driven reporting, this position is essential to the successful modernization and efficiency of HR operations.

• Splunk administrator that manages the system utilizing Linux cluster and management console, applications. • Daily management of daily Splunk operation systems. • Linux administration: Understand and implement application file permissions. • Collaborate and liaise with other units and serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert. • Contribute to research and development projects as required. • Train and advise less skilled systems programmers and provide expert technical assistance for others. • Verify Splunk is running properly, creating new indexes and updating applications, adding new source types, adding new servers and logs to Splunk. • Daily verification of license counts, ability to create dashboards and teach others how to make dashboards. • Use of Splunk management console and applications.

• Administer and Maintain EDR Tools • Tune detection rules to reduce false positives and improve threat visibility for each covered locality. • Ensure asset inventory is accurate and up to date for each covered locality. • Regularly update the EDR platform and agents to the latest versions. • Review and adjust security policies. • Conduct health checks to ensure the EDR system is functioning properly. • Investigate and remediate unexpected agent behavior • Ensure that Integrations are working as required and troubleshoot when issues are identified • Administer and Maintain Vulnerability Management System • Maintain and update the vulnerability management platform and agents • Conduct health checks to ensure the VMS system is functioning properly. • Tune scan policies to reduce false positives and improve accuracy for each covered locality • Ensure asset inventory is accurate and up to date for each covered locality • Configure and schedule scans for each covered locality. • Investigate and remediate unexpected agent behavior • Ensure that integrations are working as required and troubleshoot when issues are identified • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and issues submitted through the ticketing system and SOC • Maintain and update the Remote Monitoring and Management platform and agents • Accurately document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions • Escalate complex or unresolved issues as needed • Monitor ticket queues to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and follow up with customers as needed

• Support the Client ACES project, focusing on Medicaid and eligibility systems • Develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs and CICS transactions • Optimize DB2 queries and stored procedures to ensure system performance • Create and manage JCL scripts for batch processing and automation tasks • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business teams to deliver reliable solutions

• The TC’s may join calls with BPC's to give insights into what is feasible and what the solution might look like. • Responsible for implementing it, managing techs and timelines to complete the work. • Be the technical expert in how to best support by configuring, using ServiceNow best practices focused on configuration vs. customization. • Support the engagements efforts such as specific process definition, re-engineering, improvement and gap analysis of current/future-state processes during workshops with key customer sponsors and stakeholders.
