Business Analyst – Child Support

• During this assignment, the financial business analyst will report to the State functional manager to provide status updates on assigned tasks. • The resource should be able to work independently with minimum guidance to enhance the current application’s user interface to be interactive and self-guided primarily in financial areas of SC Child Support Application. • Work closely with the State Functional Manager and Business Analysts to identify areas for improvement within PACSS and deliver practical, actionable recommendations. • Analyze existing workflows to uncover inefficiencies and pain points. • Design optimized workflows for complex processes in alignment with South Carolina business requirements. • Propose enhanced functionality for complex financial activities within PACSS. • Design self-guiding workflows, including guided navigation, tooltips, and contextual assistance, for critical areas such as order entry and financial adjustments. • Design user-friendly features such as step-by-step wizards, contextual help, and automated guidance to improve usability and reduce training needs. • Conduct stakeholder interviews as needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of South Carolina business processes. • Collaborate with other Business Analysts to develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and provide general assistance during testing activities. • Participate in regular functional meetings focused on user-reported issues, enhancements, and bug triage to review progress, discuss solutions, and align on priorities.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst
- 5+ years of experience working with financial operations such as receipts, distribution, disbursements, recoupment, and/or reconciliation
- 5+ years of experience with workflow design and system enhancement
- 5+ years of experience conducting Stakeholder Interviews
- 5+ years with SQL Querying
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience working with Child Support systems
