Role Description The Hearing Screen Division Manager is responsible for the overall business performance of the Hearing Screen Program within an assigned division. Role Description The Patient Access Registration Team Lead is responsible for providing account registration, billing, and administrative support to internal and vendor departments. The duties include: - Gathering and verifying current demographic information including insurance information. - Contacting insurance companies (as necessary). - Processing weekly billing. - Completing and submitting daily and monthly statistics. - Working and resolving the assigned unit(s) PBI worklists daily to ensure timely follow-up on all holds, maintaining within the established “past due hold code duration” time. - Working and resolving the assigned unit(s) OBR edit reports and Data Repair 3 times per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) to ensure quantity and timeliness of registrations. - Working and resolving unit(s) PBI worklists daily to ensure timely resolution of all registration hold codes that are still not billed and sit in the “released bucket of unbilled A/R.” - Working and resolving claims manager reports for assigned unit(s) to ensure all edits are worked in a timely manner. - Working with leadership and department staff on specific unit issues, where established registration and billing guidelines are not being followed. - Assisting supervisor with site/unit provisioning as needed. - Completing daily census validation. - Providing training to associates on job performance related issues as needed. - Responsible for completing quality audits as determined by leadership. - Participating in monthly telephone conference meetings with teams to allow best practice and other techniques to be shared. Qualifications - 2-4 years of healthcare related experience. - Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college; or equivalent combination of education & experience. - Ability to work on projects and meet the overall objective, ability to meet pre-determined deadlines. - Ability to supervise, counsel, train, and develop staff. - Ability to delegate assignments and follow through on details is essential. - Ability to be effective and efficient in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing tasks and priorities. - Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. - Excellent consumer relations skills required. - Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Windows. - Experience with OBR, Master Database, PBI, pMD, BBS, GPMS, NextGen preferred. Responsibilities The Billing & Collections Specialist reports to the Billing & Collections Manager. The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for the Billing and Collection functions including invoicing customers, collections, researching, analyzing, and resolving issues, reporting customer balances to managements and operations. This position will participate and assist in project or process initiatives to continually improve upon to reduce DSO and increase cash collections while maintaining strong customer relationships. - Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, aligning with industry best practices. - Reduce and maintain unbillable balance month over month to align with target goals. - Minimize and maintain collection balances by ensuring timely and accurate resolutions. - Analyze and identify trends and track customer behaviors. - Assist in opportunities and process improvements for best practices to include standardization and documentation of processes. - Assist in month-end close as it pertains to Billing, and Collections. - Work collaboratively with a variety of individuals within the department, company, and customers. - Establish a culture of accountability to achieve operational excellence. - Provide daily/weekly operational analysis to manager and team. - Assist in all internal and external audit request as it pertains to the Hospital Contract Team (Billing and Collections). - Assist with all other duties and special projects as needed and exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as they are identified to assist with projects as needed.
