Head of Growth: Making the Market for Natural Capital
Oxygen ConservationWe are committed to scaling conservation to deliver positive environmental & social impact.
Role Description This role exists to bring our premium natural capital portfolio to market — leading the sale of 2 million high-integrity carbon, biodiversity and wider nature credits to corporate partners and private investors, at prices that align with the uniqueness of our offering. - Your primary focus is securing offtake agreements, premium credit sales and long-term strategic partnerships for OC’s natural capital portfolio. - Over time, you will build on this foundation to extend the commercial model across the wider Oxygen platform — our proprietary data and analytics capability, our talent network and our content engine — maximising the commercial opportunities available across the business. - The routes to market you build matter beyond revenue. By establishing credible, scalable partnerships, you will directly strengthen our investment case — helping demonstrate to capital markets that high-integrity natural capital is not only impactful, but genuinely commercially viable at scale. - Internally, this role sits at the heart of our business. You will work across our three divisions — Capital, Conservation and Intelligence — bringing together our natural capital, investment, data and analytics, legal, finance and marketing capabilities to create commercial propositions that define the market. - You will work directly with our CEO and alongside teams that have spent years building expertise across carbon markets, biodiversity net gain and peatland restoration - they will be your most important resource, and we will invest in your literacy across the landscape. - Externally, your relationships will span global corporates, hyperscalers, high net worth individuals and other strategic partners who want exposure to high-quality, high-integrity natural capital. This role builds OC’s brand as a premium developer as much as its revenue. Qualifications - You are someone who has spent your career presenting premium products and partnership opportunities to discerning buyers. - You have a premium partnerships background, likely built in luxury, high-end services or sophisticated B2B environments. - You possess financial literacy to model your own deals and understand how a credit sale affects an investment return. - You understand technology as leverage and know how to use proprietary tech to inform pricing and identify the right partners. Requirements - Mission-driven, not commission-driven: You care about the outcome, not just the deal. - Pace and patience: You bring urgency to operate at our speed, and the resilience for the long term. - A builder, comfortable in ambiguity: You keep moving forward when there is no playbook. - A learner by instinct: You will need to become genuinely bilingual in the rapidly evolving carbon and biodiversity credit markets. Benefits - Competitive base salary and benefits reflecting the seniority of the role. - This is deliberately not a commission-based position. Key Responsibilities - Help define how premium natural capital is bought, sold and valued globally. - Secure long-term relationships with corporates, investors and strategic buyers that shape the future of the market. - Position our credits at the top of the market and defend the pricing that quality deserves. - Create commercial structures where no established template yet exists. - Build deep, trusted partnerships that compound over years, not quarters. - Ensure every deal strengthens confidence in natural capital as a scalable institutional asset class. - Unlock new opportunities across our data, analytics and intelligence capabilities over time. - Build our reputation in boardrooms, investment committees and the conversations that move markets. - Bring AI into your daily workflow to move faster, spot opportunities earlier, and operate at a level traditional commercial teams cannot match. Key Information - Location: Remote within the UK, with regular travel to our estates and to partner meetings as required. - Employment type: Permanent, full-time.

Transactions Intern
Oxygen ConservationWe are committed to scaling conservation to deliver positive environmental & social impact.
Role Description The UK natural capital market is being built right now. This is your chance to join a small, high-performing team at Oxygen Conservation who are working on landmark projects that are helping to shape it - and contribute towards their delivery. We are scaling to £1 billion of natural capital assets under management (AUM) by 2030. Delivering this ambition depends on transactional excellence at pace. The Transactions Intern role has been created to strengthen our legal and investment functions at the exact moment we need them most. If you want to gain real commercial experience in a business doing genuinely impactful work, we’d love to meet you. About You This internship position is designed for someone who combines intellectual curiosity, practical delivery, and a genuine commitment to environmental improvement alongside strong technical capabilities. You don’t need prior legal or investment experience, nor any professional qualifications - what matters most is attitude, initiative, and a desire to learn fast in a high-performance team. - Genuine passion for nature and conservation, and a belief in the role that law and investment can play in restoring ecosystems. - Motivation to contribute to work where commercial success and environmental impact are directly linked. - Alignment with our mission of Scaling Conservation, and a desire to help prove that conservation-led investment can deliver institutional-grade returns. - Awareness of the wider investment landscape - including the role of institutional capital, and how deals are sourced, diligenced, and closed. - Strong written communication - clear, precise, and concise. - High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy under time pressure. - Strong working knowledge of AI tools and a track record of using them to accelerate real work. - Highly organised with strong project management skills - able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising on quality. - Genuine excitement about where technology is heading, and comfort using AI to create original outputs. - Competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Self-starting and comfortable taking initiative, making progress rather than waiting for instruction. - Resilient and adaptable, able to shift priorities as dynamic projects evolve. - Collaborative by nature - a genuine team player who turns their hand to anything. - Trustworthy, with the maturity to handle commercial and confidential information with skill and care. - You must be a really nice person too. About the Role As Transactions Intern, you’ll work across two interconnected functions - legal and investment - supporting the transactions that will define both Oxygen Conservation and the natural capital market. You’ll report directly to our brilliant Senior Legal Counsel, Hannah Davies, and work in close collaboration with George Pawley (General Counsel) and Matt Hattam (Investment Manager). This team sits at the centre of how deals get done at OC, and you'll be alongside them on live workstreams from your first week. The work is genuinely varied: - Coordinating diligence across lawyers and advisors. - Drafting an investor briefing or pressure-testing a board pack. - Seeing how a transaction moves from origination to completion. - Understanding how investors evaluate natural capital. - Learning how a small team delivers complex deals at pace. Key Responsibilities Your work will sit across two layers - the core transactional workstreams (the deals themselves), and the enabling workstreams (the operational rigour that keeps everything moving). Core workstreams - Transaction execution: Supporting live transactions from origination to completion - tracking workstreams, managing timelines, and flagging issues before they become problems. - Due diligence co-ordination: Contributing to due diligence processes, ensuring datarooms are maintained and documentation is complete, well-organised, and immediately accessible to investors, lawyers, and advisors. - Investor engagement: Preparing investor briefings, updating our engagement database, and helping build the relationships that underpin the capital raise. - Investor and board reporting: Assisting with the drafting of reports, board packs, and governance materials that communicate transaction progress to our investors, directors and internal teams. Enabling workstreams - Strategic project delivery: Taking ownership of actions across our wider strategic and operational projects. - Market research: Producing research on transactions, investors, counterparties, and the wider natural capital market. - Meeting and action management: Running meeting coordination end-to-end. - Quality assurance: Reviewing and pressure-testing key documents and outputs. - Governance and compliance: Keeping our internal records, registers, and compliance processes fully up to date. - AI workflow development: Helping us develop the AI prompts and workflows we need for transactional delivery and scaling. What You’ll Gain - Practical exposure to how complex transactions are sourced, structured, negotiated, and closed. - A working understanding of natural capital as an emerging asset class. - Hands-on experience of data room management, due diligence, and investor engagement. - A track record of designing AI workflows that have accelerated real transactional work. - A network of talented colleagues across legal, investment, and leadership. Our Culture - Collaborative by default: we share information, support each other, and celebrate collective wins. - High standards, high support: we expect exceptional work and invest in helping people achieve it. - Adventure and togetherness: we visit estates, share experiences, and bring genuine energy to what we do. - Commercial and pragmatic: we find solutions, not problems. - Grounded in mission: everything we do is in service of Scaling Conservation. Key Information - Term: Fixed-term, 3 months - Salary: £26,500 per annum, pro rata (approximately £6,625 for the 3-month term) - Location: Remote-first, with occasional travel to meetings and estates - Reporting to: Hannah Davies, Senior Legal Counsel - Closing date: Monday 18th May 2026
