Sales Specialist – Battery Sourcing, Scrap-Yard & Workshop Focus

• Identify, engage, and onboard scrapyards, auto-repair workshops, fleet operators, dismantlers, and other hidden battery sources across Germany/EU to Circunomics’ marketplace, ensuring all battery trading partners conduct their transactions digitally via our platform. • Negotiate acquisition contracts (spot purchases, long-term supply agreements, take-back schemes). • Perform on-site assessments (state of health, safety, documentation) together with technical partners. • Create and maintain a live supplier intelligence database (capacity, lead-times, pricing trends, regulatory constraints). • Collaborate with the Business-Development team to align sourcing targets with demand from OEMs, tier-1s, second-life integrators, and energy-storage companies. • Prepare sales & sourcing reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and investors. • Represent Circunomics at industry events, trade fairs, and local networking groups (e.g., recycling associations, automotive clubs). • Feed market insights back to Product & Tech teams (e.g., common failure modes, battery chemistries, regulatory hurdles). • Support the CRO in building strategic campaigns with Marketing (targeted outreach, webinars, case studies).
• We’re hiring a Business Developer to secure battery supply across multiple categories—new batteries from battery OEMs, used batteries, and surplus/oversupply stock (e.g., from automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, integrators). • You’ll work closely with our sales operations team, legal, and finance to ensure that sourced batteries are tradeable, bankable, and fit for customer requirements. • This role is commercially driven and relationship-heavy, combining sourcing/origination, market intelligence, and deal execution. • You’ll work closely with quality, logistics, legal, and sales teams to ensure that sourced batteries are bankable, traceable, and fit for customer requirements. • Build a sourcing strategy by category: new batteries, used and surplus (cells/modules/packs). • Identify and approach supply partners; map decision-makers across procurement, aftersales, engineering, and sustainability teams. • Create a qualified supply pipeline with clear attributes: chemistry, form factor, volumes, timing, location, documentation, and constraints. • Qualify supply streams for technical suitability and commercial viability (chemistry/form factor, configuration, condition & grading, compliance/documentation). • Coordinate with internal teams to define acceptance criteria and incoming inspection requirements.
