Title: Coordinator II, Human Resources Benefits and Compensation - Monroe Community College Location: Rochester, NY Type: Full Time Salary Type: Annually Salary Range:$52,000.00 - $67,000.00 Job Description: The Coordinator II, Benefits - Human Resources, is a technical position responsible for assisting in the administration of a variety of benefits for current and retired employees. Responsibilities include assisting in the application of new and existing benefits in order to provide appropriate benefits; ensuring proper maintenance and accuracy of personnel records; assisting with the clarification of policies and procedures, as well as coordinating and contributing associated with the College's Employee Wellness program. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a senior staff member. Performs related work as required. Examples of Duties & Responsibilities: - Day-to-day administration of College benefits to full-time employees and retirees - Processing of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), COBRA, collective bargaining contractual leaves, as well as ADA requests, ACA support, and other State and Federally guided benefits - Coordinate benefit orientation sessions with new employees - Supports open enrollment campaigns for active employees and retirees - Assists employees and retirees with the application process for new enrollments, changes in status, or the retirement transfer process - Assists as liaison with various benefits providers concerning clarification of policies and procedures - Compile and review HR reports and surveys - Contributes to and supports the documentation process for position-related and/or compensation changes of staff to the Board of Trustees - Supports the Tuition Reimbursement process for active employees - Supports and administers employee enrollment to NYS and SUNY retirement systems - Coordinates and supports the College's Employee Wellness program - Annual salary table rolls in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements - Completes other duties as assigned by Human Resources leadership Requirements: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and one plus years' experience or Associate's Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources or related business field - Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships - Demonstrated professionalism in maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing - Strong commitment to quality customer service - Good analytical skills, judgment, tact, and courtesy - Strong comprehension skills to apply collective bargaining agreements, past and present, as they relate to employees and retirees - Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Programs Preferred Qualifications for Hire and Appointment: - Prior experience working in a unionized environment within the public sector - Certification in Human Resources - Familiarity working with electronic systems, including Human Resources Information Systems - Experience working in higher education in Human Resources or a business-related position - Working knowledge of various medical and dental plans - past and present, as they apply to employees and retirees, including Medicare and Medicaid Additional Information: Non-Discrimination - https://www.monroecc.edu/diversity/notice-of-non-discrimination/ Salary: Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity, and college budget.
