• Responsible for ensuring radiation therapy services are financially cleared and authorized prior to treatment initiation • Manages insurance verification, benefits review, preauthorization, and denials management • Maintaining compliance with payer regulations and Epic workflows • Close coordination with clinical teams, scheduling, and payers to prevent delays in patient care • Serves as a subject-matter resource for radiation oncology billing and authorization processes

• Provides case management/therapy for patients and families to enhance their psychosocial functioning • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission, values and mercy service standards • Ensures safety, confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to hospital and infection control standards • Coordinates interdisciplinary care, advocates for patients and families, and oversees safe, comprehensive discharge planning • Provides behavioral health case management, assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing treatment planning with accurate documentation • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and community partners while maintaining strong clinical, organizational, and technology skills

• Daily electronic submission of claims, paper claims, and resolution of failed claims • Accurately and efficiently work a high volume of claim transactions across all lines of service

• Represent Mercy in defense audit processes • Drive evaluation and implementation of improved charge capture procedures • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and revenue integrity

• responsible for reviewing and analyzing documentation present in the medical record for inpatient, outpatient and/or professional services to assign diagnoses/procedure codes • Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association and adheres to official coding guidelines

• Deliver, as a project/program manager, large-scale strategic initiatives and projects ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and measures, and transitioned to operations as managed solutions • Partner with Mercy leadership to direct and guide project managers and other stakeholders on large, highly complex, highly visible strategic initiatives for Mercy ministry-wide to define project/program scope, develop initial schedule and timeline, define resource needs, and identify potential risks • Manage programs involving a team of project managers and assisting other project managers to navigate Mercy and strategically align projects to Mercy's mission and strategic objectives • Partner with Enterprise Project Office leadership on team strategy and team development to include driving continuous improvement, assisting with project manager resource allocation, and developing and maintaining Mercy's project standards and processes • Mentor and train Enterprise Project Office Associate Principal and Lead Enterprise Project Managers on leadership skills and job responsibilities and provide thought leadership to project managers throughout Mercy

• Owns the development and governance of Mercy’s enterprise AI architecture • Defines and maintains enterprise-wide AI architecture blueprints and standards • Defines standards and reference architectures for the development and safe deployment of agentic AI systems • Leads the identification of capabilities, outcomes, and success criteria for AI solutions • Guides the selection of AI model solutions in partnership with the AI engineering team • Leads the development of training and testing plans and evaluates AI solutions • Engages with external AI solution providers to evaluate and recommend innovations
