Familiarity with IT Operations Management, automation/orchestration, and hybrid cloud management is a plus - Strong architecture and design experience with Enterprise Service Management solutions, products, and industry best practices and trends - Solid understanding of SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, cloud computing (public, private, and hybrid), and service orchestration/automation - A reliable leader with strong teamwork and collaboration skills Location and Language: - Home-office based in Germany - Willingness to travel as required - Professional communication and presentation skills in German and English Why us? • Collaborate with the Chief Architect to define and execute the Data, Integration and AI strategy • Design and architect solutions for our SaaS platform, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency • Work with engineering teams to implement architecture patterns and best practices • Contribute to aligning target architecture and AI initiatives across the product portfolio • Implement cloud transformation initiatives leveraging Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies • Design and integrate AI-powered capabilities (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation, LLM-based virtual assistants) into specific product areas • Implement flexible architecture patterns that support deployment across multiple cloud providers (Azure or comparable AWS/GCP), private cloud and on-premises environments • Develop platform components that abstract cloud-specific dependencies while leveraging PaaS where appropriate • Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud spend while maintaining performance and reliability • Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation for assigned product areas • Contribute to the metrics-driven governance framework to measure architectural effectiveness • Support technical due diligence (Tech DD) activities for potential acquisitions (M&A) • Mentor and coach engineering teams, ensuring architectural practices and responsible AI principles are embedded in development processes • Participate in internal AI and architecture communities, collaborating with engineering teams, Cloud Operations, and key stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical authority within the team, driving architectural decisions, setting coding standards, and ensuring engineering excellence while remaining a hands-on individual contributor. • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Product Designer to refine, estimate, and detail epics and features, translating business requirements into well-defined technical solutions. • Support the Engineering Manager in mentoring and coaching team members, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. • Actively use and champion agentic AI tools across the software development lifecycle, establishing best practices and driving adoption within the team. • Coordinate with other Technical Leads, architecture, and cloud teams to ensure alignment on technical direction, shared standards, and cross-team dependencies. • Actively participate in customer support escalations, providing technical expertise to diagnose issues and drive their resolution. • Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions for complex technical challenges, contributing significantly to the team’s codebase.
