• This is a remote position. • ITTConnect is seeking a Linux Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in Brazil for a client in the US. • Responsible for administering, supporting, and maintaining Linux-based systems across a variety of customer environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration, virtual machines, and core operating system services supporting production application workloads. • Work collaboratively as part of an engineering team while also operating independently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. • Requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering stable and performant Linux infrastructure.

• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives. • Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. • Technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. • Understands the business or function for which application is designed. • Continually learn about new technologies, generate new ideas and improve the use of modern technologies across our application portfolio. • Configuring and activating Application Portfolio Management (APM) • Developing Configuration Item relationships for Business Capabilities, Information Objects, Business Applications, and Application Services • Integrating APM with other ServiceNow modules including ITSM and SAM • Utilize strong technical competencies and expertise to identify, analyze and troubleshoot any production issues and maintain procedures that meet business user expectations. • Work closely with cross-functional teams & development teams to understand and provide automated solutions/fixes. • Contribute to the continual improvement of Delivery and Support Services processes as well as the maturing of the different portfolios, capabilities, expertise, and best practices in consideration of the user and stakeholder needs and requirements. • Participate in SCRUM events and complete assigned items within the determined Sprint target.

• Deploy and manage VCF, including management and workload domains. • Implement and optimize vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX, and SRM. • Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, and network virtualization. • Perform capacity planning, health checks, and risk assessments. • Produce documentation and operational handoff materials. • Support DR architecture and testing. • Provide knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.

• Manage and support mainframe operations, ensuring high availability and performance. • Provide consultancy and technical assistance for migration projects. • Implement and configure IBM storage solutions such as DFSMSrmm, DFSMShsm, and related advanced audit and reporting tools. • Assist with installation and configuration of IBM OMEGAMON for Storage and other monitoring tools. • Develop and maintain JCL scripts, REXX, and Assembler programs for automation and operational efficiency. • Utilize TSO and ISPF for system management and troubleshooting. • Collaborate with storage administrators to assess migration impacts and provide training/documentation. • Ensure compliance with system standards and best practices for SMP/E and z/OS environments.

• Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and CA Automation Point to IBM SAIOM. • Configure and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for z/OS environments. • Develop and maintain automation rules, REXX execs, and System Automation Policy Database (PDB) configurations. • Provide installation and configuration assistance for IBM automation products. • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize system startup, shutdown, and recovery processes. • Ensure high availability and efficiency of critical systems through proactive automation strategies. • Document processes, configurations, and migration steps; deliver clear communication to stakeholders. • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues in production environments.
