• Lead our monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEAL) strategy. • Build high-performing MEAL teams in our countries. • Drive data-driven decision-making across program implementation. • Oversee MEAL managers in our portfolio countries. • Ensure that the MEAL function delivers rigorous monitoring, analysis, and organizational accountability. • Provide thought leadership on measurement and evidence generation to drive decisions in real time.
• Serve as the primary HR partner to designated country portfolios, advising leadership on workforce strategy, structure, and people-related risk; • Translate organisational and People strategy into actionable country-level plans; • Provide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, reporting structures, and operating model alignment; • Support change management initiatives and transformation efforts within country teams; • Use HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement; • Escalate strategic risks and complex matters appropriately to the Executive Head of People. • Partner with country leadership to conduct workforce planning aligned to growth projections; • Lead and coordinate recruitment processes for country portfolios, ensuring quality, diversity, and alignment to competency frameworks; • Support hiring managers in structured selection, interviewing, and decision-making processes; • Oversee onboarding to ensure effective integration of new hires into the organisation and culture; • Ensure consistent application of job architecture, grading frameworks, and role clarity standards. • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary processes, investigations, and conflict resolution; • Ensure compliance with local labour legislation in each supported country, working with local legal advisors, PEOs, or Employers of Record where required; • Provide guidance on employment contracts, policy interpretation, and HR risk mitigation; • Support grievance management processes and ensure fair, consistent application of policy; • Oversee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and compliance requirements; • Drive implementation of the organisation’s performance management framework across country portfolios; • Coach and equip managers to set objectives, provide feedback, and manage performance effectively; • Support development planning, coaching interventions, and targeted capability-building initiatives; • Partner with the Executive Head of People on succession planning and identification of high-potential talent; • Champion organisational values and culture across supported countries; • Support employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms; • Facilitate cross-country collaboration and team effectiveness initiatives; • Identify organisational climate trends and recommend appropriate interventions; • Promote inclusive practices and equitable people processes across geographies; • Provide input into compensation benchmarking aligned to global frameworks and local market standards; • Support salary review cycles and incentive processes at the country level; • Coordinate effectively with payroll providers, PEOs, or Employers of Record; • Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies, SOPs, and toolkits; • Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and board-ready summaries as required.
• The Android Systems Engineer will play an instrumental role in carrying out Imagine’s mission, to design, test, and scale tablet-based learning solutions that enable children to become literate and numerate. • They will join a highly committed and collaborative team working to empower every child, everywhere to achieve their full potential. • They will work directly with the Head of Technology, Director of Product, software engineers, device manufacturers, and external technical partners to build, maintain, and improve the Android tablet platform that supports Imagine’s programmes. • Over the next six years, Imagine’s goal is to serve more than 10 million children in at least four countries, ultimately achieving three times the typical level of literacy and numeracy outcomes of national education systems in Africa. • Building a reliable, secure, and maintainable Android device platform is key to achieving this goal while delivering the programme at less than $5 per child per year.
• The Director of Supply Chain Operations will play a critical role in carrying out Imagine’s mission to scale tablet-based learning solutions that enable children to become literate and numerate. • They will lead the design and optimisation of our in-country supply chain architecture in the low-resource contexts in which Imagine works. • Ensure that devices don’t just arrive in-country — they reach learners, stay operational, and last as long as possible. • Deep collaboration and partnership with country logistics teams to architect and operationalise contextually relevant in-country supply chains. • Provide thought leadership and tools for inventory and stock management, route planning and last-mile distribution, forward logistics (deployment to schools), and reverse logistics (returns, redeployment, end-of-life).
• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance for network-related issues in country offices and project schools. • Monitor and maintain the health of school-based ICT infrastructure, including routers, access points, and local area networks (LANs). • Coordinate with local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and in-country technical partners to resolve connectivity outages and optimize network performance. • Implement and document network configuration changes as directed by the Director of ICT. • Travel to project sites in various African countries may be required from time to time and not exceeding 40% of the time. • Provide helpdesk support for all Imagine Worldwide staff, troubleshooting issues related to hardware (laptops, mobile devices), software (cloud-based tools like Google Workspace), and operating systems (Windows, macOS). • Manage the setup, deployment, and inventory of IT assets for new and existing employees. • Develop and deliver training sessions and materials for staff and partners on essential IT tools, security best practices, and new system deployments. • Assist in the administration of cloud-based platforms, including user accounts, access permissions, and security settings. • Perform routine system updates, patching to ensure data integrity and security. • Monitor system performance and security logs to proactively identify and address potential issues. • Collaborate with other stakeholders to maintain accurate inventory of all software licenses and hardware assets.
• The Senior BI & Data Analyst is a core execution role within Imagine's Analytics Team. • This is a hybrid role that requires genuine craft in both directions. • The role is a key contributor to the Analytics Team's organisational mission: enabling data-driven decision-making across all of Imagine's functions and country teams. • The Senior BI & Data Analyst owns the full lifecycle of Imagine's organisational dashboards and automated reports. • Ensure all dashboards and reports are optimised for three distinct audience tiers: leadership and board, country teams, and global function leads. • The Senior BI & Data Analyst is Imagine's resident expert on BI tooling, responsible not just for using the tools but for defining how the organisation uses them well.
• Serve as the development team’s primary liaison with research, country and programs teams to secure impact indicators, KPIs, and performance data. • Maintain an updated repository of organizational metrics in key impact areas including learning gains, climate benefits, and livelihoods for proposals, reports, and donor materials and external communications. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across country programs and reporting cycles. • Collaborate with finance team to retrieve high-level financial data (e.g., cost-per-student, efficiency metrics, budget trends). • Support development colleagues in interpreting and presenting financial data clearly for donor audiences. • Collect and synthesize qualitative inputs from country offices, including best practices, lessons learned, and solution development for common challenges for both internal and external use. • Maintain systems for sharing and accessing qualitative insights across the development team. • Work with the communications and development teams to produce coherent narrative summaries and programmatic context for proposals, donor reports, and briefings. • Translate technical data and research findings into clear and accessible formats for external audiences. • Create simple charts, tables, and data visualization. • Draft supporting narrative content when needed in collaboration with grant writers. • Maintain organized data dashboards and ensure information is easily retrievable for development staff. • Track data needs for active proposals, reports and narrative priorities. • Support cross-team planning related to evidence, reporting, and knowledge management.
• Manage project risks with escalation as required. • Manage accounting and financial processes at Imagine Global level. • Manage relationship between Imagine and BDO. • Oversee the Imagine annual audit. • Establish and manage systems for EFT payments to scale countries and Imagine Global staff including expense claims. • Assist with the implementation of the grants management system in the scale countries. • Assist with the system change from Quick-Books to Sage Intacct. • Assist with strategic financial management activities including annual budget development, financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, and financial reporting at Imagine Global. • Assist in the development of project-level financial management policies and procedures, manage roll-out and oversight compliance, reporting and periodic review. • Provide expert guidance in the costing of activities and operations. • Organise and maintain comprehensive financial files and documents to ensure all recording is compliant with audit, corporate and client requirements. • Support senior management to establish and implement policies and procedures for fraud control, anti-corruption and anti-bribery. • Lead monthly financial reviews with scale country finance teams to assess performance against budgets and identify corrective actions. • Strengthen internal controls by reviewing segregation of duties, approval matrices, and delegation of authority frameworks across countries. • Coordinate donor financial reporting timelines, ensuring consistency between programmatic and financial reports. • Oversee balance sheet integrity, including regular review of reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments at global and country level. • Support capacity building of scale country finance teams through training, coaching, and standardised financial tools and templates.
• Draft compelling, tailored proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for foundations, prizes and individual philanthropists. • Produce high-quality narrative donor reports that communicate program progress, impact outcomes, and financial performance. • Synthesize information from programs, research, finance, and country teams into clear and persuasive content. • Support development of a donor communications calendar, including donor updates, briefings, pitch decks, and email communications. • Gather program stories, field insights, data points, and photos in collaboration with programs and communications teams. • Ensure donor materials uphold organizational voice, evidence standards, and ethical storytelling guidelines. • Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all deliverables. • Support internal review processes and coordinate feedback, version control, and formatting. • Maintain a library of standard organizational language and program descriptions. • Assist in preparing materials for donor meetings and internal strategy discussions. • Help maintain CRM records, grant files, and donor communication logs.
