Role Description As Staff AI Engineer, you are the technical leader and backbone of Cadre's Colombia engineering team. Your job is to ensure every engineer around you builds better. You mentor and manage engineers, set the standard for how the team designs, reviews, and ships AI systems, and own their growth as deliberately as you own your own code. You pair that leadership with serious technical depth, staying hands-on with the hardest builds in our client portfolio: - Multi-step agent systems - Complex document processing pipelines - Automations that touch core revenue operations When a problem has ambiguous requirements or no obvious solution, the team looks to you, and clients measure the result in EBITDA impact, not demos. You report to the Head of Client Engineering and occasionally join client calls to walk stakeholders through what we are building and why. You thrive here if leveling up the people around you energizes you as much as shipping the system yourself. What You'll Do - Team Leadership and Mentorship - Manage and mentor engineers on the Colombia team, owning their technical growth, code quality, and delivery. - Set the engineering bar through rigorous code review, pairing, and reference implementations. - Serve as the first escalation point when engineers hit problems they cannot solve alone, teaching as you unblock. - Build the habits, patterns, and practices that make every engineer on the team measurably better quarter over quarter. - Technical Direction - Drive architecture decisions across client builds: agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, document processing, and automation running in production. - Evaluate new models, frameworks, and techniques as they emerge, deciding what enters Cadre's production toolkit. - Turn hard-won lessons from client builds into reusable internal tooling, templates, and documentation. - Build and Ship Production AI Systems - Stay hands-on with Cadre's most complex client systems, owning delivery end to end. - Make pragmatic build decisions under real constraints: client timelines, legacy systems, messy data, and measurable business outcomes. - Ship fast without sacrificing reliability; design systems that keep working long after the engagement ends. - Client Collaboration - Join client calls when the conversation needs technical depth, walking stakeholders through system designs, trade-offs, and progress. - Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete system designs and delivery plans clients can commit to. - Flag risks, trade-offs, and scope realities directly and early, protecting both the client outcome and the team's delivery. Qualifications - 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building LLM-powered systems that run in production. - Demonstrated technical leadership: engineers you have mentored or managed improved due to your guidance. - Expert-level Python and strong full-stack fundamentals. - Production cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Deep working knowledge of the modern AI stack. - A track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes projects end to end. - Fluent English and clear communication on client calls. - Consulting-environment adaptability. - Based in Colombia with reliable overlap with US business hours. - An AI-first working style. Benefits - Real leadership: be the technical backbone of a growing engineering team. - AI-native culture: work with people who are as obsessed with the tools as you are. - Access to the frontier: experiment with new models and capabilities through partnerships. - Upside: share in the success of a bootstrapped, profitable, and fast-growing company. - No bureaucracy: small teams with clear accountability.
Role Description You are the technical backbone of Cadre AI's delivery engine. While AI strategists own the client relationship and translate business problems into requirements, you own the build: - Complex backend AI modules - Agentic workflows - Retrieval systems over messy unstructured data - The infrastructure that keeps them running at scale There are no over-the-wall handoffs here. You co-develop requirements in real time alongside the strategist, which means what gets built is precise, purposeful, and shipped fast. You thrive on deep, uninterrupted technical execution. You are not a generalist who dabbles in AI. You have: - Built production LLM systems - Tuned RAG pipelines until retrieval accuracy became a non-issue - Debugged agentic chains under pressure You know the difference between a prototype and a production-grade system, and you build the latter by default. Beyond client delivery, you look for patterns. When three clients ask for similar components, you abstract the best version into an internal tool that speeds up every future delivery. Qualifications - 3+ years of backend engineering experience - At least 1 year building and shipping production AI agents in a client-facing or fast-paced product environment - Deep, hands-on experience with vector databases, advanced RAG optimization, and agentic orchestration - Proficiency in Python and Node.js - Infrastructure fluency with IaC tools (Terraform or Pulumi), Docker, and Kubernetes - Certified Claude Architect or ability to earn the certification within your first 60 days - AI-native working style - Complexity tolerance - Ownership orientation Requirements - Design and build complex backend AI modules - Translate architectural blueprints into high-performance, production-ready code - Own end-to-end delivery of AI components - Architect and optimize RAG pipelines - Implement vector database solutions - Diagnose and fix retrieval failures in production - Build and maintain agentic systems - Manage context window constraints - Optimize prompt pipelines for latency and cost - Own deployment of AI services using modern IaC tooling - Write tests at the right level of the pyramid - Maintain production systems with structured logging and alerting - Identify patterns across client engagements - Document internal tools clearly - Contribute to Cadre's internal AI platform Benefits - Real ownership - AI-native culture - Access to the frontier through partnerships with Anthropic, OpenAI, and YC - Upside with bootstrapped, profitable growth - No bureaucracy with small pods and clear accountability Compensation The base pay range for this role is $5,000 USD to $7,000 USD. If you have built production AI systems that other engineers point to as examples of how it should be done, and you want to do that work across a portfolio of complex, high-stakes client problems, this is the role.
Role Description The Technical Program Manager is the operational backbone of Cadre AI's Product, Research, and Engineering (PRE) team. You sit at the intersection of product scope and engineering execution, ensuring that: - Every build stays on timeline. - Every blocker gets resolved before it stalls delivery. - Every PRD translates cleanly into structured, executable work. You report to the Head of Client Engineering and work alongside PRE leadership to keep the engineering machine running with precision across all active workstreams. Your day-to-day includes: - Validating product requirements. - Breaking complex builds into scoped sprints. - Tracking engineering progress across multiple concurrent projects. - Anticipating dependencies and resource needs. This role is for someone who has built products themselves and understands what it takes to ship. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in technical program management, technical project management, or engineering operations. - Hands-on product building experience. - Strong understanding of the software product lifecycle. - Proficient with ClickUp or a comparable project management platform. - Technically literate enough to understand engineering blockers. - Exceptionally organized with a bias toward structured systems. - Proactive by default. - Clear, concise written communicator. - Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. - Familiarity with AI/ML development workflows is a strong advantage. What Sets You Apart - You have been the person keeping an engineering team on track. - You have validated product requirements and caught gaps. - You understand engineering well enough to anticipate blockers. - You have strong opinions about good engineering operations. Benefits - Real ownership of operational execution. - AI-native culture that uses AI for operations. - Access to cutting-edge AI models and capabilities. - Upside potential as an early team member. - No bureaucracy with small teams and clear accountability.
Role Description You will own Cadre AI's training and enablement. This means you are responsible for the strategy, content design, and delivery of all client-facing training programs, from live C-suite sessions to on-demand video libraries for clients. Your job is to ensure that every client who receives training from Cadre walks away understanding how to use the AI solutions we build for them and how to lead their teams through the adoption process. Additionally, your team would pioneer trainings on new hot AI topics so that we are always positioned as a thought leader in the space. You will emcee trainings, bring in technical experts as needed, and drive the experience end to end. You will build and launch a premium standalone training offering designed to generate incremental revenue beyond our core consulting engagements. This includes defining the product, building the go-to-market approach, and packaging our training expertise into a scalable service that clients will pay for separately. You will also lead change management efforts externally to help drive adoption with clients as well as internally to help Cadre teams adopt AI-first workflows and tooling as the company scales. This role thrives on someone who is equal parts strategic thinker and exceptional performer - it’s a true player / coach role where you need to be in the details and execute on your own. You need to be charismatic and polished in front of senior executives, highly organized behind the scenes, and relentless about follow-through. You are comfortable designing the training strategy on Monday and delivering a live session to a client's C-suite on Wednesday. You think like an entrepreneur, not a traditional Learning and Development leader, meaning you tailor every engagement to the client's actual business context rather than delivering a generic curriculum. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in consulting, enablement, training, or client-facing roles. - Proven ability to own a client engagement from end to end. - Strong understanding of the current AI landscape. - Exceptional executive presence and communication skills. - Highly organized and detail-oriented. - Experience building or launching a new service offering, product line, or revenue stream. - Bias toward systems and scalability. - Quick learner with strong technical fluency. - Collaborative leadership style with experience managing at least one direct report. - Ownership mentality and comfort with accountability.
